If you haven't checked this out yet, please do so-- it's so ridiculous it brought a smile to my face. Hopefully the film won't be as campy/silly as this poster turned out to be. (gotta love the little bulldog in a sweater... that's pure 1920's goodness :)) http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=41402

After watching the trailer I\'m guessing that\'s exactly what they were going for, Matt. Well done, marketing peeps. (Incidentally, though the costumes look marvelous, they look waaaay too late in period. Hmph. So now the movie already has a strike against it . . .)

There was a promo for Leatherheads during the Superbowl yesterday (oh, how appropriate). It definitely gave off the goofy/fun vibe. Melonie- I\'ll have to agree with the costumes... I\'m guessing they were going more towards the idea of what people associate with football uniforms more than what they actually looked like.

Kevin, you have a friend with your man-crush. That\'s all I\'m sayin\'. Check this out for a completely different promotional angle for Leatherheads. A poster really can make a difference.

This poster reminds me of the day many moons ago when I visited the NFL Hall of Fame with my football fanatic brother and I spent the whole time telling said brother that surely the NFL has enough money to hire real actors to do their historical clips. As a costumer, however, I was deeply moved by the extant pieces they had on display. I think it was the closest I came to actually enjoying myself. Well, except the Game Day movie. They didn\'t need actors for that one. They had the players themselves and THAT was far more entertaining. I love, love, love Renée Zellweger - she\'s absolutely amazing and I\'m interested to see John and George.
