From TVguide.com:
Dream Team Following
his bumpy first meetings with new boss Charles (Idris Elba), Jim finds
himself squaring off with the bigwig in a soccer game in the parking
lot. Meanwhile, Michael fears the new workday, so much so that he's
barely able to leave his house. But that doesn't stop him from
assembling his "dream team." The Michael Scott Paper Company Former
romantic rivals Dwight and Andy form an unlikely kinship and plan a
hunting trip together. Meanwhile, supervisor Charles demands a rundown
from Jim---but Jim has no clue what "rundown" actually means. And
Michael holds a Paper and Pancakes company luncheon, but it might end
up as a flat affair. -------- Two episodes in one night? You're killing me NBC! Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Okay, they were the two best shows this season. There were two things that I really liked. I haven\'t heard anyone talk about how absolutely cool Erin is. She gets more excited with each new talent the boys show off. She isn\'t put off by their bad looks or anything. She is quick to enjoy the ghost story and the dance to get past Andy. Just the sort of girl you would want around the office and to have answering the phones, instead of what\'s her name. The other highlight for me was Pam\'s reaction to the flash that Micheal gave. She didn\'t screech and cover her eyes, but said with encouragement \"we need to get you dressed\". That was so funny. Maybe after she sees your tallywacker once she becomes acclimated to it and it\'s no bother for her to see it from then on. You have to admire that quality in a lady. Of course at the very end Micheal was starting the speech that he was going to close M.S.P.C. and then Pam gets the call for the first order. (42 cases x $50.00 @ 25% = $525 gross profit) Did anyone think about how much Micheal is into the shape of his syrup topped foods. He asked Pam what shape she wanted for her french toast and then he made the pancakes in the shape of paper.

Great prediction Randy! I LOVED how they brought Michael and gang back to the same building! BRILLIANT! I don\'t understand Jim\'s confusion. I don\'t know a Run Down is, but if I were Jim, I\'d assume it was a summary of his client accounts. Actually, I just found this definition on Dictionary.com... \"a quick review or summary of main points of information, usually oral: This brief rundown of past events will bring you up to date. \" Jim knows how to use the internet to find this information. Sheesh, Jim is becoming dumber by the episode.
-
Love Randy\\\'s prediction as well. It would be nice if Pam got some equity in the Michael Scott Paper Co. (MSPC), because she could get a nice payoff if/when Dunder Mifflin buys it out and brings them back into the fold. yes, I deliberately left out Ryan, a classic DB.

I loved both of these episodes, we\'re always complaining that Michael has the \"Homer Simpson\" syndrom, or that he gets dumber each season, but it seemed to me that this is the most intellegent he has been. In all reality if Michael gets his feet moving it seems that his company can be successful. I also thought these were some of the funnier episodes of the season. I loved the return of Ryan, and the fact that his charcter has shown the most growth and change of any body else over the entire series. The are basicly three incarnations of Ryan. Season 1-3, season 4, and season 5. I lost it when he said \" I wish my iPod could make phone calls, no I know what an iPhone is\". Also his mom picking him up was a great touch. Pam was great in here to, I loved her freak out in the car, great self analysis in saying that she gets frustrated and does something radical, I think this really explains her charcter perfectly. From going back to Roy, to going to Art School, to leaving Dunder Miffilin. I also loved that side shot of the car when she through out her notebook, that was great, and it was a great parallel in the episode when Michael gave her his speach at the end, it went perfectly with Pam\'s speach to him in the beginng. I also loved the Jim plotline, I can feel for him though because I had almosr the same thing happen to me at my work, but I can understnad where Charles is coming from too, let\'s be honest, who among us hasn\'t meet someone, and just not liked them, it happens, but that still doesn\'t justify Charles being a Dick. Also nothing is funnier than an old women getting smoked in the face with a ball, I.E. Merideth and the football. Overall these were two great episodes, and I\'m happy that they didn\'t try to smash them together into one hour long episode, I think we\'ve had enough of that. I\'m not sure how many episodes are left this season, but I\'m excited for it, unlike last year.

The Andy/Dwight dynamic was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. An a capella Metallica duet...can\'t wait! :-) I agree with a lot of the others that Jim floundering was entertaining for a bit, but now it\'s just painful and overkill. Is it me, or are the writers having difficulty deciding what kind of character Ryan is supposed to be? He started off as a respectable guy trying to work his way up. He became a corporate wannabe VP douche. And now, he\'s pretty much every bit of an annoying slacker the pizza delivery boy was...if not more. Writers, make up your minds!

My prediction: Either Jim ends up quitting, or Charles fires Jim (more likely the latter). This will cause a slump in morale at the Scranton branch. Plus, David Wallace will start to more closely scrutinize Charles, because he\'s always been a big Jim fan. This will lead to Charles being canned, and the return of Michael, Jim, and Pam.

These were both great episodes! Loved, loved, loved The Dream Team episode. Some great laughs and the end scene between Michael and Pam was perfect. Pam\'s emotions and frustrations were so real and the way Michael spoke with her was touching and honest. It\'s a great episode when you find yourself laughing, crying, and \"awwing\" all at one time. The second episode was good, but I agree with other posters that Jim looking inept is awkward and uncomfortable, but the Dwight/Andy friendship plot was fantastic. Overall, very, very happy with both episodes and where the season\'s going.
-
I enjoyed both episodes. While I agree that some things are getting a little ridiculous--like Michael making stacks and stacks of French toast--The Office always makes me laugh. The show is obviously not the same as it was in Season 2, which is generally the favorite, but it is still fun for me to watch. Favorite line: \"My maid died...\" Oh, and \'Parks and Recreation\'? Meh.
-
I liked both episodes more than I anticipated. Some highlights for me: The cold open with Kevin trying to transfer the phone. Micheal- \"I have egg in my Crocs\" Pam- \"We got Vikram\" Vikram- \"You got me\" Later... Vikram- \"He seems really confident.\" Pam- \"He can be.\" Vikram- \"Confidence. It\'s the fool of the wise man with the liquor of the fool.\" Pam- \"I\'m looking forward to getting to know you better Vikram.\" That\'s how I felt. I hope they bring him back because I thought he was so funny last season at the telemarketing place and in this episode. I don\'t know why he just makes me laugh. I also like the way the second episode ended off with both Dwight and Andy singing together. I think they have great dynamics when they are playing off of each other.
-
I hope Jim reaches out to David Wallace for some help with his dilemma with Charles before he completely sinks himself. David has always really liked Jim and knows he\'s a good saleman. Hate the return of fratboy Ryan, how dare he call Pam \"a 6 in NY but a 7 in Scranton\". Got a kick out of bringing back Vikrim because I had just rewatched \"Money\" the day before and liked the exchanges between him and Michael. Would have liked to have seen Kevin and his drumming try to get in on the Dwight/Andy deal with the new receptionist, who I find very cute. It goes without saying that Charles is a loathsome character.
-
Ryan: \"I wish my ipod could make phone calls.\" Other line: \"phone noise chatter\" Ryan: \"No -- I don\'t want an iphone. I know what an iphone is.\" Pam vs. Ryan is a pretty amazing dynamic. I hope the writers keep pushing this. I was thinking about these two earlier this season and their altercation over the microwave. They got a really genuine dislike for each other, great to watch. And for all those \"Pam shouldn\'t have quit\" suckas, I think it was great to see her emotions come out in the car, so hopefully that\'ll appease ya\'ll haterz.

I thought these episodes were great. I think that the shows this week had more funny moments than in recent episodes which was nice. I loved in \"Michael Scott Paper Company\" the Creed and Meredith thing at the pancake breakfast. Also the part where we could hear Toby in the bathroom was pretty funny. The Bromance between Dwight and Andy I thought was annoying at first but totally paid off when they got to the duet. The stuff with Charles and Jim I think is just kind of depressing now though. I know that Jim needed to be taken down a peg or whatever, but it\'s starting to get old. I think the highlight of these episodes for me was Michael. It was nice to see him not sad and pathetic for once, but put in a situation where we see salesman Michael, who I like a lot. I particularly liked his speech to Pam, great moment there. Oh yeah and Kevin this week was HILARIOUS.
-
Long time listener, 1st time writer... I thouroughly enjoyed both of these episodes, a lot. I wasn\'t a big fan of the Jim and Charles (Jarles?) subplots. I thought it was nice to see Jim taken down a peg, but now it\'s getting a little annoying, almost forced. However, the Dwight and Andy plotline was hilarious, acoustic banjo FTW. The Kelly and Angela love fight still isn\'t that funny, however Kelly herself was surprisingly funny, and a great Kevin line out of nowhere. Now, the major highlight for me was the Michael Scott Paper Company plotline. I\'ll admit, Nana was a little ridiculous, but had a good payoff during Pam\'s meltdown. Great re-introduction of our favorite \'Fire guy\', and, from the 2nd episode, I think Ryan actually works a little better to me than he did earlier this season. The new title sequence was hilarious, and great acting on all parts, especialy Carell and Fischer. Michael\'s quote within a quote on the whiteboard cracked me up. However, I almost felt angry at Pam when she tried to get her job back, but she redeemed herself at the end in my eyes. The episodes did feel a little slow to me, especially the Dunder Mifflin plotlines, but overall, I think they were well written and well acted. I look forward to seeing how high Michael can fly.
