Episode #5.0 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID has turned both Ian and Matt into diehard "Jam/Pim shippers"! It's pretzel day here folks, and we're jonesing for "the works" along with Michael and Stanley. Pam a snitch? Jim, master of Psychological warfare? Bob Vance, a dick? Will Ryan be able to wrestle his fear to the ground? And oh, what a phone call... Episode discussion, news, emails and more. Nothing from
Jim's iPod this week... Sorry about that... Incidental music provided

Thinking the end of Jim and Pam\'s conversation was unrealistic must have been a guy thing. My dad had the same opinion that you guys had, that it\'s not realistic and that she should\'ve just said, \"No, I was just talking to Ryan.\" But I thought it was real, at least from my point of view, talking on the phone and then having another conversation and getting them mixed up, that just seemed true and real.

Hi guys! I just started listening to the podcast last week. Great show!! It\'s always fun to find people even dorkier than I am. (I say that with love) :-) By the way, I live in a suburb of Philly (about 2hrs from Scranton) so if you\'re still interested in those Herr\'s or Utz chips e-mail me or post your addy and I will send you some.

Hey Matt and Ian: Great podcast. I really enjoy your take on the show, and your analysis is right on the money, Matt. I quite enjoyed this week\'s episode, especially the Jim/Pam conversation at the end. I was smiling and all warm inside. They just seemed really happy to be talking to each other, and their usual banter was endearing. It did flow really naturally and was truly authentic. I\'ve missed some of the show\'s authenticity and that is what the relationship between Pam and Jim give us. There were flirtatous moments and sweet laughter together--ah, the romantic in me wants them to connect more! I really missed Pam and Jim. You\'re right that the build-up and lack of connection over many episodes made it all the more powerful. The end of their phone call was lame, but it satisfied that part of me that was longing for their connection. O happy day!

Nomi, thanks for your comments about \\\'Friday Night Lights\\\' on my blog. Matt definitely does the heavy lifting. I\\\'m like the guy who shows up two hours late for a big move, but sits around and drinks beer with everyone afterwards. Meanwhile, I think we\\\'ll both be welling up with tears as we try to figure out how to handle the rerun week.

That brain teaser about the doctor and her son is also used in the British Office Christmas special. Gareth, Tim and David are discussing it right before Dawn walks back in and...well, if you haven\'t seen it I won\'t spoil it, but it\'s good. Speaking of being drunk... *****************SPOILER******************** In Diwali \"Andy (Ed Helms) convinces Jim (John Krasinski) to turn a late night of work into a drinking game.\" And I don\'t know how true this is, which honestly I hope it isn\'t because it sounds kind of lame, but Jim drunk dials...someone.

Hi. I just read about you at theofficeforum.net and came over here for the first time tonight and listened to the Episode 5 podcast. You two are great. Really exciting to hear smart people who also love the show talking about it with such insight. And Matt -- you do the heavy lifting, right? ;) -- what a labor of love. But here\\\'s what I really want to say: It\\\'s so nice, cute, thrilling to hear two guys all emotional about Jim and Pam. Please, any time you feel yourselves welling up with tears, don\\\'t hold back. For real, though, great work both of you. Thanks.

Great show guys. Just started listening last week, but I\'m in the process of going through the back episodes... very good stuff. Maybe during rerun weeks you could go back to favorite episodes or scenes from previous seasons... not necessarily devoting as much time as you would to a new episode, just to have something to discuss for a few minutes. Just a thought. Anyway, keep up the good work!

From Kevin\'s My Space Blog... \"I have some VERY good programming news to announce soon. You will be happy. But I cannot announce it yet. Someone else has to announce it first. Then i get to announce it second. Or at least I need to ask if I can announce it. So...I will get you the news as soon as someone else gets it to you first.\" Thoughts???

Nice podcast Matt. The podcast really helps me understand the office episode of the week. Also, can you try to get the podcast up before 11:30 and a sunday night? It\'s a school night for me and I have to stay up for a while. Anyway, awsome podcast. Can\'t wait for next week.
