Since it's Easter, and since I just stumbled across this a few minutes ago, I thought I had to get the word out! Our very own B. J. Novak has uncovered a conspiracy so insidious, so horrible, so... evil... that the world must be made aware!
Cadbury have shrunk the size of their (in)famous Creme Eggs, and they're trying to cover it up! For Shame!

I heard about this on the podcast and had to pop over and see what BJ had to say. It\\\'s funny because I am also a major fan of the Cream Egg and was reading about them on the web a few weeks back in anticipation of Easter. I was reading about the discussion over the size of the egg diminishing in recent history and found this at Wikipedia: An original Creme Egg weighed 1.4 oz (40 g) and contained 171.6 Calories.[2] While the size of the eggs has diminished since its introduction in 1971, Cadbury maintains \\\"It hasn\\\'t—you\\\'ve just grown up!\\\" [3] Nevertheless, the 1.2 oz (34 g) eggs - made by The Hershey Company under license from Cadbury and available in the United States since 2007 - are smaller than previous years\\\' 1.38 ounce eggs. So apparently, here in the US, we aren\\\'t getting the \\\"real\\\" Cadbury Cream Egg, rather a licensed copy from the Hershey company. It is Hershey who is reducing egg size in their production, while Cadbury may actually still be producing the original size in the UK. So Cadbury may be telling the truth as far as their own product, while not owning up to the leeway they\\\'ve given Hershey in the licensing. I have always been a fan of Hershey, but this is dastardly! Jim
