We're down to the "Final Four," folks, and I ain't talking basketball.
Oh Jwight. You scare me deeply. PRODUCT RECALL
8:30/7:30c TV14 04.26.2007 UNPRINTABLE?
AN OFFICE IN CRISIS - The office is in crisis mode after a large
shipment of Dunder Mifflin paper is accidentally sent out with an
obscene watermark - and Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell)
tries to manage the media with an impromptu press conference. Jim (John
Krasinski) and Andy (Ed Helms) also attempt to calm the high school
principal who has sent out prom invites on the affected stationery.
Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, B.J Novak, Phyllis Smith, Leslie David
Baker, Mindy Kaling, Rashida Jones, Creed Bratton, Oscar Nunez, Angela
Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner and Kate Flannery also star. Based on the description, this episode could be either totally sublimely funny, or a catastrophic "too much Michael" fiasco. Here's hoping for choice #1! EDIT:

Did anyone else notice that when Jim and Andy went to the school to meet with the principal, Andy had an evolution poster with apes and such hanging over his head (in the waiting room), and then went they went into his office, the principal had a Holy Bible on the bookshelf above his head. Coincidence? I think not. Those prop folk know what they\\\'re doing. Oh and Andy\\\'s girlfriend had a poster in her locker that said \\\"get wet.\\\" ahahaha
-
Oh, and on Michael\'s video, Kevin Crossman is correct. The cuecards say \"I need this job. My mortage is hundreds of dollars a month. With this job, I can barely cover that. I have a company car, but I still need to pay for gas. Gas prices are high, and I have no savings whatsoever. And it wasn\'t even me. It\'s so not fair that they want me to resign.\" Dear God, Michael. Could you be more pathetic? Sometimes they take it a bit to far with him.
-
Yeah, I paused it to read that card too. Pathetic, but it made me laugh a little too. His mortgage is HUNDREDS of dollars a month. And something about the \\\"whatsoever\\\" after the no savings is funny for some reason. I\\\'ve only seen it twice, but I definitely didn\\\'t notice those props (or whatever you\\\'d call a poster) that Amylia saw.

I also thought there was way too much Creed in this episode. He\'s best in miniscule doses. Otherwise, after a second viewing, I liked this episode. Lots of good, classic \"Office\" moments and situations. My favorite part was when Dwight, badly imitating Jim, asks Karen if she wants to get together and have sexual intercourse, Jim says \"do you?\" and Karen quickly says \"NO.\" I also enjoyed all of Jim\'s and Andy\'s interactions. Basically, I love Jim\'s deadpan reactions to everything. Krasinski is awesome :-)

If you look carefully, there\\\'s a lot more of Michael\\\'s speech on the cue cards. There\\\'s a whole section where he talks about having no savings in the bank. Can someone tell me why Creed isn\\\'t in the main credits with everyone else? It certainly has more lines than Meredith does, and often more than Karen or even Ryan.
-
Upon further reflection, I\\\'ve come up with some very specific things this episode did for me, even if it wasn\\\'t my favorite: *Jim going from being horribly annoyed with Andy to feeling sorry for the guy and actually doing something to make him feel better. *Pam playing off Karen and Jim\\\'s joking with Michael about his inefficient use of acronyms. *Creed.

I really didn\\\'t like this episode. I thought it was stupid. I liked Jim imitating Dwight, but the highlight of the whole episode was that first minute. Bleh...there were a couple of funny moments, the farm animals (hah), the Creed part, but overall, I felt really let down by this episode. The whole high school thing with Andy was lame; I mean, c\\\'mon! And there was really no development of the characters or anything relative to forward movement. I didn\\\'t laugh much, either. Either I\\\'m a stick in the mud, or they\\\'re losing me here. I don\\\'t feel excited about the show much anymore after this season. :(

Does anyone think... gasp of gasps... that perhaps Jim had the Casio watch from his younger days??? I mean, let\\\'s be honest - isn\\\'t Jim one of those boys who had them when they were \\\"cool\\\" circa mid 80\\\'s? I can totally see him as one of those guys... just a thought... :)
-
I loved the cold open. It\'s my second favorite now after “future Dwight.? I immediately made a cafepress store for it. This is a little weird, but when Jim\'s showing off the calculator watch, he adds the price of the glasses ($4) to the cost of the rest of the outfit ($7). Then later when Angela is going over paperwork, she scolds Kevin for being unable to add 4 and 7. So the question is: did Jim fill out an expense report on pranking Dwight?

\"Outrageous lies\"! Under the fairness doctrine of bloglandia, I must disclose that Martin Tsang made me laugh with that line. Yes, it true. The Andy Rooney of Office commentary made me laugh. I\'d like to know, Martin, how does \"meh\" stack up against \"officially not a piece of shit\" in your hierarchy of backhanded compliments? Oh, and I agree that Jim\'s lowball figure of $11 is highly suspect. It\'s distracting when little things like that take you out of the scene.

Sarah -- You may be right. I really have to watch it again. It might feel less unresolved on second viewing. If it does, then I definitely think this could be one of the better episodes. But, you know, I don\'t remember having to watch, say, The Injury, twice to be sure it was a complete story. It was perfect right away. But, then again, my feelings have sometimes changed pretty dramatically on second viewing. But that\'s an old story. We\'ll see.
-
I\\\'ve only seen it once, but this is what I think so far. It had a lot of great great funniness. Til near the end, I though it was going to really be a winner. But then the way they didn\\\'t tie the story up was pretty lame. Wasn\\\'t it? We needed some tying up to the high school part, and some tying up to the whole fiasco itself. No? It kind of felt like Traveling Salesman without any ending. But, hey, isn\\\'t this the first time that Dwight\\\'s played a joke on Jim? I find it amazing that they can do impersonations of other people while staying in their own character. It\\\'s like triple acting! Steve Carell does it all the time, of course. But first time we\\\'ve seen Dwight do it.
-
Hm. Am I missing something here? I thought the episode was great! Not as funny as \\\"The Negotiation\\\" but plenty of laugh out loud moments. Plus, a nervous/defensive Michael is always both funny and \\\"awww...poor guy.\\\" I thought that there were resolutions. The high school part, well, they apologized, and went back to work. What more could there really be? What\\\'s done is done. And as for the whole fiasco...I think it was tied up with the \\\"Ungrateful Biatch\\\" leaving and Michael making the video. *shrugs* Great episode in my book.

Some positives: Kelly was actually developed a little... she may be über-obnoxious, but she\'s good at customer service. It was a simple joke (maybe overplayed), but it was funny to see Angela trying to be nice/apologetic.. if you can call that \'trying\'. ------ QUESTION: Jim, Karen, sex.... hasn\'t been addressed until this episode (unless you\'re a \'late night talk\'=sex theorist). Not that we need to know erotic details or whatever, but the writers didn\'t have any trouble eluding to the intimacy of Pam & Roy (Basketball Game), Jan&Michael (Back from Vacation), Dwight&Angela (Email Surveilance & Health Care), and maybe even Ryan & Kelly (?). Not to mention Creed\'s hetero/homo-erotic mudlove. It\'s odd is all. Are we to draw any conclusions from this silence? Speaking of Creed, I love that he not only got some random woman fired, but that he used that as an excuse to steal $10. Creed should write \"Idiot\'s Guide to Scams, Stealing, and Swindling\" or something.
-
Best prank ever! Dwight made it even better by striking back. I hope there\'s a deleted scene out there of them both talking to Michael. That had to have started as an on-set joke. And that first deleted scene with Kelly and Angela was wonderful. I also enjoyed seeing the friendship between Oscar and Kevin. Team building all around!
-
This episode was a great episode based entirely on the THAT\'S WHAT SHE SAID. But other great moments were plentiful. Here\'s my favorite: - Jim as Dwight and vice versa - Threat Level Midnight referance - Kevin speaking Australian - \"Lord, beer me strength\" - \"The sex appeared consensual; the animals were smiling\" - All of Creed\'s screentime Here\\\'s to a great, insightful podcast!

Yes he was completely ignorant of her age.... but geez, Drew is way creepy. Did we need to go there? I prefer psychotic & obnoxious Andy to ignorant-molester Drew. Then again, all he did was knock up a mailbox, not a juice stand girl... but mailbox tampering is still a felony. Catch-22. It is only Thursday and I spoiled the cold open for myself (which is one of the funniest they\\\'ve done I think), but I didn\\\'t feel satisfied by this episode... it didn\\\'t really get resolved. I guess we\\\'ll just have to trust Pam\\\'s prophecy. I really thought corporate would say a word about this.
