Can't believe I forgot to put this up... blame it on the stress of trying to get everything ready before the big trip! Augh.

I\'m so happy for the half hour episodes to be back. I can only imagine how horribly wrong this could have gone if it was stretched to a full hour. I absolutely loved Michael\'s commercial, his was so much better than the corporate one (which looked like every other annoying commercial on TV). And everyone was just so happy and proud of what they did! So I didn\'t see Angela in the commercial... did I miss her? As for the JAM stuff... I can definitely see how they are setting up some tension, but it\'s not anything new. We\'ve all known since the beginning that Jim doesn\'t want this to be his career (I sure don\'t want him thrown in front of a train), and that Pam\'s had bigger dreams than being a receptionist. If I were Jim, I think I\'d be a bit wary of driving home with Meredith as well. He obviously wasn\'t too mad if he brought Pam breakfast the next morning (awwwww). I also loved Kevin\'s Kool-Aid face and Andy\'s inability to think of Kit-Kat Bar. The biggest thing I had a problem with was Andy always going to Dwight about Angela. Why? I get that it needs to be him for the storyline\'s sake, but didn\'t Andy always go to Jim before? Why does he want to be buddy-buddy with Dwight all of a sudden? It\'s so hard to watch Dwight be that unhappy. Of course, the \'Oh, D!\' is a lovely highlight.

I can think of two theories for Jim\'s wanting Pam to come home that night. 1) He\'s selfish. He\'s pined for her for years. Now he\'s had weeks(?) of Pammy and he\'s addicted. He\'s gone home alone for years. He even moved to CT. I can understand him wanting time with her, to himself, away from the office. 2) He\'s looking out for his partner. Not getting enough sleep is unhealthy. Because he cares for her, he doesn\'t want to see her overdo it (work, volunteer work, anything that we can obsess on...). The only problem with this theory is the recent episode where they both came in tired one morning. I don\'t think he minds her not getting enough rest on nights like that.

rebecca: you ready my mind re: jim/pam. i think people are reading too much into the talking head. i mean, it\\\'s meredith! she\\\'s either gonna drink or make him sign something else creepy on the way home. lol i really don\\\'t see why people keep saying jim is being a dick. i don\\\'t think he\\\'s been a dick at all this season with the exception of the computer vs. dwight prank which was harmless. everyone is turning him into a villain. leave britney alone!!!----i mean--leave JIM alone!! lol and yeah, it felt too short, we got spoiled from the hour long episodes. hope the christmas one will be an hour! i thought pam was gonna get pissed at jim for interrupting her design with that second life thing. i seriously think we\\\'re just holding our breath every episode to see them fight. i\\\'m really glad they haven\\\'t done that yet and made it totally ross/rachel-soap opera crap. REALLY glad! whateva, i love \\\"jam\\\"!

I\'m with Rebecca and Elisa -- I didn\'t really see much in the way of tension or conflict being set up between Jim and Pam. He didn\'t even really seem annoyed when she decided to stay late to work on her graphics, and when she teased him about his avatar, he seemed embarrassed, which was natural under the circumstances. None of this is the stuff people break up over. I really do think they can sustain this relationship for a while, and it\'s not like it\'s gone on and on -- it\'s only be 5 episodes. Even freaking Ross and Rachel stayed together something like a whole season before the writers broke them up. Not my favorite episode, though I did like the commercial at the end.

This was my favorite episode so far, perhaps because it was the most hopeful. Dwight sees some hope that Angela still thinks of him \\\"Oh, D!\\\". Pam turns out to be a promising animator. The whole office gets a chance to explore their creativity. (I don\\\'t care what Michael says, that last ad song from Darrel and the crew was great!) And Michael gets to be the \\\"world\\\'s best boss\\\", by creating what was really the superior commercial. As far as Jim, in every episode he does some nice things, and some pranky things-that\\\'s his personality. He torments Andy by withholding the elusive \\\"kit kat bar\\\" from him, but it\\\'s more amusing than mean-spirited. And he supplies the DVD of the commercial at the bar and gives Michael a chance to shine. He has real empathy for everyone when it matters most. And thanks for going to the Scranton convention...love reading and hearing about it. I know it\\\'s a long haul from Wisconsin.

I must be the only one who wasn\'t bothered by Jim this time. I thought the writers were playing a little trick on us when Jim seemed annoyed that Pam was staying late. But no wonder if his ride home was Meredith. It\'s always hard when a relationship is new to spend time apart, but I thought Jim handled it well. Especially when he was the one who brought up his concerns about Dwight\'s descent into depression. So I thought Jim was pretty redeemed this time. Maybe I\'m alone on this but I\'m sticking to it! How funny is Ed Helms coming up with so many funny 3-syllable endings for \"break me off a piece of that ...\" The only one I remember was Grey Poupon, but that may be because I was laughing so hard I didn\'t hear the others.

while i thought that phyllis crying was kind of funny. It was kind of painful to think of who she has turned into a a measley 5 episodes last season she was an uptight saleswomen and now she is balling her eyes for no reason at all. Michael\'s response to her was great though. Ummm,, as for the Jam stuff idk i thught it was cute with the breakfast thing but the fact that discouraged her to \"fulfill her dreams\" was slightly off with everything we have learned so far as somone said earlier, during the Boys and Girls episode he encorouged her to fulfill her artful gift and if u watch the season 3 DVD the return episode he is rreally excited that she won the art contest but now ????

about the JAM stuff..... Jim did have some reasoning for not being as enthusiastic about Pam spending all this time on this commercial graphic.... he really thought there was a low chance anyone besides people in the office that would see it......for ths school art contest she won others had to vote on it, etc...

Wow...I think people are ready WAY too much into the Jim and Pam stuff. I mean, yes, clearly they are setting Jim and/or Pam up for some more character development, but I don\\\'t think it\\\'s spells gloom or doom for either of them. And I didn\\\'t find Jim particularly bad in this episode. He clearly supports Pam - look how he looks at her in the bar after the commerical. I think he was worried that (1) she was spending too much time on something that wasn\\\'t really going anywhere and that (2) he had to ride home with Meredith. And in regards to his Second Life profile, I think the show is moving toward Jim evolving beyond the love-sick paper salesman, into the person he wants to be. He spent 3 seasons focusing on the girl, and not much else. But he has the girl now, so where does he go from here? Personally, I see no reason that he can\\\'t have the girl AND a happy, successful career. We\\\'ve seen absolutely nothing from Pam to suggest that she wouldn\\\'t support him. (Of course, we should also remember that if Jim moves on to bigger and better, non-Dunder Mifflin jobs then that would most likely mean his and/or Pam departure from the show. So, that\\\'s not likely to happen any time soon!)

In this episode, I missed the longer length (twss!) but felt that it was a solid story nonetheless. Meredith in the parking lot, yelling, \\\"piss or get off the pot,\\\" was priceless. My only complaint was Dwight\\\'s foray into Second Life. We already knew he was miserable, so why explore his misery even more? I thought the scenes of Andy describing his struggle to first base with Angela ample evidence that Dwight\\\'s living a nightmare. \\\"Ryan\\\'s being a little bitch again.\\\" Love it!

while i may actually love every episode this one seemed a little off I THOUGHT THE JIM TALKING HEAD was such a great throwback to the pilot episode! i found andy\'s necking angela scenes a little hard to get through was gonna say twss but i stoppped myself KEVINS KOOL AID FACE WAS AWESOME! and if u go to nbc.com/the_office you can actually watch the entire commercial for real. Not like the hard to see bar/pub version.

Nothing wrong with the show this week, it just felt so short compared to the hour long version. I hardly remember anything about it. I liked that the office genuinely seemed to like Michael\\\'s commercial, and it was good to hear David Wallace again - he lends credibility that this company could actually function in the real world. I see what everyone is talking about how Jim seems annoyed that Pam called him out on his second life stuff. Yeah, I think it\\\'s pretty clear that now that Jim and Pam are together, they\\\'re going to really find out exactly how compatible they are.

Michael\'s ad sure was better than a Bee Movie Junior. There was potential for this to be a Michael goes overboard and hogs the camera the whole time thing. I was pleased to see that his vision of the best commercial for his branch was to include all his people. I can\'t get that damn kit-kat jingle out of my head, oh Andy. Loved Kevin\'s Kool-aid face!

i think they are beginning to lay the ground work for a division between pam and jim. she is starting to really focus on things she wants, its the new and improved pammy. i predict that pam will be making a leave of dunder mifflin and she may even eclipse jim in career success and happiness.

I had a hard time with Jim tonight. All along, he was the one who has supported Pam in her atristic persuit, and he feel short. He redeemed himself at the bar when he 1) showed Michael\'s commercial, and 2) when he was bragging about Pam doing the animation. But I\'m still not a very big fan of Jim\'s this season. Funny how we rooted for him for 3 seasons, and now that he has what he wants, we\'re all rooting for his arch enemy instead. Speaking of Dwight... I was so happy when Andy told him about Angela moaning, \"Oh D...\". I was jumping up and down on my couch!!! Also, while I admit that a few of the hour episodes seemed forced, 30 minutes didn\'t seem like quite enough this time. I was left wanting more, which I guess is the point. I have a question... Up until this season, The Office seemed kind of Seinfeld-esque in that they were kind of about nothing other than Michael bumbeling through general office life. This season, it seems like they\'re trying to \"DO\" something every episode so that the people playing DMI can have something to do as well. It just seems kind of backwards and a little forced. When Michael announced they were filming a commercial, I KNEW that was going to be our next task @ DMI. Don\'t get me wrong, I AM enjoying this season. I\'m just having a hard time adjusting to the different \"feel\" of it.

I didn\'t look into the Jim talking heads that much, everyone wants to be a rock star right? And after the pelvic cast incident I can completely understand why he wasn\'t looking forward to being in a small confined space with Meredith. I thought it was an ok episode. Glad it was only half an hour though, I don\'t know how they would have stretched this one out. Things that made me laugh out loud were: - Michael saying \'coop\' instead of \'coup\' - necking - Stanley being a criminal in the ad, and Dwight as Phyllis\' son - D for Andy (also, yay for Dwight!!!) I was wondering what happened with Michael\'s debt though, I thought they\'d mention at least something about it.
