The Office Starts to SAG
Sorry for that horrible title.  I didn't catch the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards last night, mostly because I got burned watching the Golden Globes and saw all of my beloved The Office cast members come up with bupkis.

While the SAG awards looked a helluva lot like the GG awards, there were a few notable differences:  for one, THE OFFICE took the award for best Ensemble in a Comedy Series! Nice job, folks.  Steve Carell also got another statue when "Little Miss Sunshine" took the award for best Cast of a Motion Picture

Steve gave the acceptance speech for THE OFFICE:

STEVE CARELL: This is quite the honor having these people present this to us.[applause] I was craning my neck, Oh my God! There she is! They're there! Oh my God! Let's get serious for just one second. Webster's defines the word 'ensemble' as follows: a complete costume of complementary clothing and accessories.[laughter] And even though this is not the right definition, I think it applies to our cast.[laughter]

I'd like to... we'd like to thank Greg Daniels, our executive producer, [applause] for being the person who assembled the ensemble, and choosing people who get along, who work well together, who enjoy each other's company, who are friends. Also Allison Jones who took part in that trip.[applause] It's really a great honor and we will treasure this. Thank you.[applause]

The "people" he's referring to above (who presented the award) were the reunited cast of the classic MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW.

None too shabby.

edit:

TVGuide.com also had some THE OFFICE related information:

9:00 Male cast members of The Office (sans Steve Carell, who was readying to present) enter the pressroom after the show wins for best comedy series ensemble. "We're the men of Ugly Betty," quips Rainn Wilson, who reveals that his likeness was used in conceiving SAG's Actor statue: "I actually posed for this several years ago. I was the model for the buttocks."

9:01 Paul Lieberstein (Toby), who's also one of the Office scribes, was asked to offer up a juicy February sweeps preview. "Someone will get married," he shares, "[and] someone will die." Really?! "I'm kidding about someone dying," he adds, "but an animal will attack. Nobody is safe."

9:03
Did actors from The Office get to talk to The Mary Tyler Moore Show cast? "I told [Mary] that I sold her some flatware at Bloomingdale's 15 years ago in New York City," says Oscar Nunez (Oscar). "And now here I am. That's pretty cool."
