Episode # 45 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin dusting off their Supertramp records. It seems like only yesterday, season four began its dawn... and we really have enjoyed ourselves, but THE OFFICE must move on. With Flenderson gone, Flax is in... and Michael couldn't be happier with his very own office ET. What kind of party WOULD you throw if the devil exploded? Why, the best damn party foot money can buy. Ryan's arrested, Pam's off to New York, Andy steals Jim's thunder, Jan's expecting, Dwangela get down and dirty, and Kevin... well, we're all so very proud of Kevin. So many cliffhangers... so many days until September. Incidental music provided by the Podshow Podsafe Music Network. I had a few thoughts that might clear some stuff up that you didn\\\'t think about in your podcast... 1) Pam and Jim getting engaged. Put yourself in Pam\\\'s shoes. She\\\'s a part of the party planning committee. She knows how much the budget is, and she knows fireworks weren\\\'t part of it. Then there are fireworks, and she ASSUMES that Jim bought them and is going to propose. When Andy gets down on his knee and proposes, who\\\'s to say she still thinks Jim bought the fireworks? If I was Pam, i\\\'d be wondering if ANDY bought the fireworks to propose to Angela. So a lot gets crushed, not just the moment. 2) Angela and Dwight and Andy- Angela and Dwight are both too proud to ever admit to each other that they want another shot. Angela holds grudges (sister? anyone?) and I think perhaps she realized after a whole day in the office that she had to take drastic steps to get dwight back. By saying Yes to Andy, she basically dares dwight into making his move. She put on her pullups for that one. And it worked.

Thanks for the shout out, Matt. I always enjoy your commentary--even when I don\'t agree with it, and I appreciate the dose of good cheer with each podcast. I admit the time zone flub. I do know the difference between Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, though I was quick to jump to the time zone conclusion based on Toby changing his watch in the finale. Oh well, that\'s where over-analyzation will get ya.

Are we going to get Matt singing in the rest of these podcasts? Maybe you and Kevin can alternate. Are you taking requests? If so, I would like to request Total Eclipse of the Fart. Great podcast, guys. You guys had me laughing here at work. Zipidedooda and job well done!

I just wanted to share my take on Pam\'s talking head. Similar to Melonie I thought she was just expressing her disappointment. She thought that it was a romantic situation and Jim could have taken advantage of that. She doesn\'t know that Andy stole his thunder, but could just see it as Andy being smart enough to capitalize on their surroundings. Plus she\'s probably upset that Andy and Angela are engaged when clearly that relationship isn\'t as good as hers. That\'s pretty disheartening!

I think they should do an episode entitled \"The Office; The Musical\" ala Buffy; The Musical. Then Matt could sing the entire podcast to match. It\'d be awesome. :) Loved the \'Cast, guys. Depressing though, that it\'s the last for new episodes until September.

I’m curious as to why so many people treat this show like it’s the Gilmore Girls. “Oh, I hope Jim and Pam finally get engaged.” “Oh, Dwight shouldn’t be so mean to Phyllis.” I understand the sentiments, but let’s realize that the whole thing that makes this show work, it’s whole comic premise, is that all of these people are hopelessly trapped in their own private hells…themselves. They never will change or grow. That’s not what the show is about. The greatest comedies of all time have been based on human tragedy, and Office works so well because it is based on the greatest tragedy of all, being trapped with other human beings who, just like us, are hoplelessly destined to repeat their same sins over and over again.

I loved the episode. I was a little disappointed that there was no mention of Creed\'s brain fart. LOL Quas? Quasa? Someone please tell the man his job title. I wish JAM would\'ve gotten engaged but I understand Andy ruined the moment. If Phyllis had taken the time to plan her own wedding instead of using all of Pam\'s ideas maybe the party planning wouldn\'t have been such a daunting task. The party was kickass though. In all fairness to Angela, Phyllis was working with a much larger budget. I actually like Toby. Yes, I know he is lame. LOL I guess I always loved Michael\'s reaction to all things Toby. I hope Michael isn\'t the father of Jan\'s baby. She did go to the sperm bank next to his favorite breakfast diner (IHOP). That sperm bank storyline minus IHOP was done on Living Single years ago. I never realized how much of a mentally challenged person Kevin really is. I loved Michael\'s song. Umm I\'m too tired to type my other favorite moments. I did laugh throughout most of the episode.

I forgot to mention that I don\'t think Pam was showing a lack of faith in Jim\'s love for her during the \"I thought Jim would propose\" talking head. I feel she\'s just expressing her disappointment. In the end, I think she\'ll realize that after the whole Andy/Angela fiasco, Jim absolutely made the right decision, but in the face of the moment she\'s disappointed, not faithless. I would have reacted in exactly the same way.

What that an F bomb I heard at the end of it? LOL. Loved the podcast. Sometimes I think you could devote a whole podcast to comments and emails. Gonna miss ya\'ll...ooops...there\'s my Texan slipping out! As they say in teenage yearbook lingo: HAGS!! (that\'s have a good summer, for us older folk!)

I\'m so glad the podcasting season ended on a high note, well done. Congrats on the promotion Kevin! Well deserved. As for you Matthew, you\'ve been holding out on us all this time. We need a full on song parody! I wasn\'t really disappointed by JAM not getting engaged, under the circumstances. Hijacking someone elses\' party seemed kind of lame to me even if it was the best DM party ever. Maybe if they had been up on the roof watching the fireworks like in The Client...When it happens I hope Pam is not expecting it and that it truly does kick her ass. When Jim said that I sort of figured he already had a plan in mind, guess not. My guess is there may be a couple more attempts at the \"perfect moment\" which will also fall through and then he\'ll finally just ask her when they are stuck in the elevator or locked in a stockroom or something.

I listened to the podcast yesterday when I was driving from Lake Elsinore CA to Seattle WA. I was going to call in and leave a voicemail but I wasn\'t sure if I had the right number (even though it\'s the number you give) I mean, I heard Kevin\'s voice talking about his podcast but I wasn\'t sure it was the right voicemail for TWSS. Anyways, I loved the finale. Despite the fact that Pam and Jim didn\'t get engaged I think there was a lot of character development. We finally figured out how Pam felt about it when most people (including Matt) thought that she was going to say no instead she took it further and said something about them having a family. At the end when Pam said she really thought that Jim was going to propose tonight I think people read too much behind that. I never got the feeling that she expected him to propose after Andy but rather that she was disappointed that it was Andy instead of Jim. They were leaving together at the end and it\'s not like their night was going to end there so she must have known that Jim wasn\'t going to do it that night after Andy did. Also, I think it\'s stretching to say that in that moment she was questioning how Jim felt about her. That look was just clear disappointment because she thought her boyfriend who she\'s in love with was going to ask her to marry her. I kind of just want to smack Angela. Being put on the spot sucks but going from seeing how happy Andy was to Angela and Dwight undressing in the office was kind of depressing and just by how strong her religious convictions are didn\'t seem realistic. Pam\'s the office mattress but Angela\'s about to boink on the desk with her ex while there\'s still an engagement ring on her finger? Sounds like what would have happened on Casino Night. Holly was amazing and I really can\'t stand the idea that she might not come back. I agree with Kevin that Michael in a love triangle was great and would probably be again. I think Holly and Kevin was great. There\'s not much I can really say about it but I have a big smile on my face thinking about those scenes. The last thing, I\'m glad Toby\'s gone. He just got creepier and creepier till his last shot and I really wouldn\'t want another season of him just staring at Pam. He basically only had one good moment his season in my opinion anyways.
