I don\'t think I used the words \"winner\" or \"loser,\" but regardless of whatever deal was struck, a manager shouldn\'t be treating some of his subordinates as winners and others as losers. And I think this is one of the main points of the show -- Michael is a good salesman but a supreme ass as a manager. This is just one more example of his assholish managing and it seemed crazy to take his side on this one.

I think you miseed something in the podcast about Casual Friday\'s. In season two I believe but it could have been season one in the cold open Ryan came in after picking up Michael\'s dry cleaning. Pam took the jeans he had dry cleaned and flung them around and did a talking head about how he think\'s he looks great in those jeans. Then I believe she says \"I know that is why he started Casual Friday\'s\".

I think you guys are completely, totally off base with your complaints about the sales staff being \"disloyal\" to Michael when he had his hissy fit and quit. Except in extraordinary circumstances, you don\'t owe your supervisor the loyalty to quit your job in a shaky economy and go off with him on his half-cocked non-business plan. Let me be clear: In absolutely zero sense were they disloyal to him by not quitting their jobs. Unless he has the ability to pay their bills and feed their families, their first duty is to stay with the company that makes it possible for them to live their lives. Furthermore, Michael proved that his little adventure was stupid and selfish. He\'s back at square one, exactly where he was, except that he\'s pissed off a bunch of the branch\'s clients and caused the company financial damage. The sole thing he got out of it was David Wallace\'s grudging concession that Michael could hurt him if he wanted. And to put everyone through all that pain and uncertainty just to get that was supremely irresponsible, immature, and self-centered. Michael proved himself once again to be a self-involved jerk, and now he wants apologies? Screw that.

It\'s true that the sales staff shouldn\'t have been expected to quit their jobs, but at the same time THEY were the losers in the MSPC acquisition, not Michael. When you buy another company and install the acquired company\'s CEO as your #1 guy, it isn\'t unexpected or unreasonable that some of \"his guys\" will be treated favorably. If Michael was a real boss Phyllis or Stanley would have been out on the street like they deserve. But, since this is TV, we can have Ryan transfer back as a temp... But I wouldn\'t call Michael the loser in the deal.

Great podcast as always ya\'ll! Just one thing - after listening to the podcast I felt lonely -- I thought \"Broke\" and \"Casual Friday\" were some of the best episodes ever. So I jumped over to that other Office site to check the fan ratings for season five. \"Broke\" was number one \"Casual Friday\" was in the middle maybe we\'re all wrong on \"Broke\" I dunno - but for whatever reason it killed among the fanbase - it was a phenomenal episode!

Love your podcast, look forward to it every week. A year\'s worth of podcasts got me from Ohio to Colorado and back without being bored (and actually, I skipped some pitstops because I hated to get out of the car). Quick comment from this week - Jim pranked Dwight into thinking that Thursday was Friday, so Dwight was really late to work on Friday, not into thinking that Friday was Thursday. Minor thing - usually, you guys have it all over me on continuity and minute details from previous episodes, which is why I LOVE your podcast.

I absolutely loved your review of this episode...I was a bit indifferent towards this episode..I just have to say this....I hate Phyllis...I have never hated or liked her but this episode made me hate her...how dare she say \"I thought we were a family?\" how dare she, she left him high and dry when he left..and now she says this..i just had to go to that last episode where she got hit in the face...just to make myself feel a little better...Yes!! Justice!!
