Episode # 95 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin eying their peripherals VERY carefully. The printer... the printer... the printer's on fire! We don't need no Dunkin Donuts gift card, let the mother effer burn. Michael's enjoying his new relationship to the fullest (it's even distracting him from work!), but when the office convinces him Donna's cheating, it's up to Dwight Schrute, P.I., to get to the bottom of things. What are a couple of thigh pulls between friends? Meanwhile, it gets all real up in here when Daryll decides to use Andy's printer concern as prank fodder. Will Andy's video hold evil tidings for Sabre? Only time will tell (wink, wink). And before we get started talking about THE COVER-UP, I'm just gonna warn you, and I say this to all our listeners... but you might not like what we find. And you might not like HOW we find it. I wish I could say that the news this morning that Steve Carell is leaving \"The Office\" was a surprise...I\'m actually more surprised he\'s staying on for Season 7, actually. I can\'t put my finger on it, but the last few episodes were kind of like a helium balloon with a slow leak... For a long time now, the podcast has been the best thing about the show, and Matt, let me say it publicly that this particular intern will follow you anywhere, do any inane research into picayune and obscure facts that you need...I think you\'re awesome, and the show has buoyed me through some really tough times. I hope you keep it up next season but only if the show deserves it; otherwise, I hope that, against all odds, you give \"Modern Family\" another chance and decide to podcast it... ;) Kimm

BOOOO!!!!!!! Sorry about that but the reason why I started watching The Office was that I saw Carrel in 40-Year old virgin and though he was hilarious. I started watching in Season 4 and I have now see every episode of the show (some multiple times). I have even gotten a lot of my friends into The Office by showing them a few episodes like Goodbye Toby and Stress Relief. Like most episodes, Michael Scott was a highlight in both and Carrel’s character and Wilson’s were the reason they got hooked on the show. I am EXTREMELY upset Carrel is leaving and I still have a little flicker of hope that he will either decide to stay or NBC will just cancel it (even though I know that won’t happen. Now, my pick for a new branch manager would be the following: After countless interviews, the decision is made that they need two people to replace Michael so they get either Daryl and Andy or Daryl and Dwight. We have already seen Daryl’s relationship w/Andy which was interesting, but Dwight and Daryl in my opinion has some untapped potential. I hope they give Michael a proper ending because he is probably one of the greatest television characters in the last 10 years and deserves his true love, Ryan, I mean Holly.

How funny to listen to the podcast and hear my comment from last week read aloud with a disclaimer that it was not posted by you in an effort to promote the show. : ) I just graduated with a business degree in marketing so showing my support for you totally has a marketing and sales sound to it. Feel free to use it to your advantage, lol. Great show--interesting turn that your relationship has taken too! Wow. Almost fell off the treadmill when I heard that clip. As for Andy becoming the new boss, I doubt it. He has the education and that could maybe get him the job but I see them keep Steve Carrell on or bringing in a new cast member to add a new character and new layers to the show. Maybe someone from the FL office. And I am really beginning to buy into the theory that Tobi is the Scranton Strangler. The more I think about it the more I think it\'s Tobi. Time will tell (maybe). Thanks for another great show, LG

Let me just say that the fact that you are a little behind in putting out the podcast just means more summer fun for the rest of us. So don\'t feel pressured to get them out so fast (unless, of course, you just want to get it over with). This beats not having anything new to listen to over the summer, and having them come late isn\'t so bad -- I love listening to your podcasts from the archives, too! Keep up the great work guys.

Matt and Kevin, THANK YOU so much for this podcast! And not just this episode, but EVERY episode you do..... you have no idea how many commutes/workouts/waiting-for-the-trains your podcast has gotten me through. Please do not think any of your hard work has gone unnoticed or unappreciated (and I have used Netflix and Amazon through you guys... hopefully that helped a littleeee bit). This podcast is amazing, and I look forward to every new episode.. and however long it takes you to put it out it doesn\'t matter! We all have jobs/lives/craziness going on, and I can\'t imagine fitting recording a podcast into my crazy schedule, so the fact that you do it at all is a huge gift! I will stop the babbling now to tell you that this podcast is awesome, you guys rock!

had a big wtf moment when i read kidlover\'s comment... i\'ve been pretty occupied revisiting older episodes lately. just like most other people said, you guys are doing US the favor by releasing a great podcast every once in a while -- it\'s better than nothing. :) thanks!

If you\'re a procrastinator like me, just think of the podcast as a diversion from unpacking boxes. Moving is the most hateful chore on God\'s green earth. Did it in December - won\'t do it again until I\'m carried out feet first or can hire movers to do it for me. Come on, Powerball! I also have enjoyed the podcasts more than the actual episodes, and the PCs have reminded me of some amusing moments in the show recently. I thought the morse code prank was awesome even though highly preposterous (though, come to think of it, will come in useful during their daughter\'s teenage years). And I like Gabe as an addition. How fun would he be with Angela? Keep up the good work!

Yo Kevin, you catch this? \"\'The Office\' has promoted funnyman Zach Woods to series regular, beginning next season. Woods joined the cast last season, playing awkward Sabre employee Gabe Lewis. His previous work includes a role in the 2009 big-screen comedy \'In the Loop.\'\" http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/06/16/jerseylicious-season-2-20-episodes-zach-woods-the-office-series-regular/?icid=main|hp-laptop|dl2|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tvsquad.com%2F2010%2F06%2F16%2Fjerseylicious-season-2-20-episodes-zach-woods-the-office-series-regular%2F

Just downloaded the podcast which is motivation to actually get to the gym tonight. Sure the bag is packed and I know I need to go, but was sitting here making excuses not to when I decided to check and see if a new podcast was posted and ahhhhhhh--there is was. I love the podcast. Have downloaded them all and listened to them several times. I recommend them to friends, have laughed out loud and drawn ackward attention to myself in airports, on airplanes, and at the gym when I just can\'t help but to laugh loud and hard at something you have said. I find myself annoyed with the Office writers because they are not giving you great material to discuss or work with. I like the podcast more than the show and as each episode ticks by I feel a little more sad because I know that it will inevitably lead to the end of the podcast. I still think you could write a better episode for the show, or they should bring you on as consultants. I said it before but will say it again--I love the podcast. Matt and Kevin--you do such a great job and if we were in the same geographical locations I could see us being great friends because we have such similar takes on the show and we laugh at the same types of humor and sarcasm. Ya\'ll rock, plain and simple. Thanks in advance for what I know will be another fantastic listening experience and for the extra motivation to get thine arse to the gym after work! Hope the housing Gods smiled upon you Matt. LG

Just wanted to weigh in quickly and say lately I\'ve enjoyed your podcasts more that the last few Office episodes. Also wanted to ask if there is any chance of retro episodes like you used to do? I love those because the show was so funny back then! Thanks guys.
-
Loved this podcast--thanks Matt and Kevin for the work you put into each episode. It doesn\\\'t matter that it\\\'s been a few weeks since I watched \\\"The Cover-Up.\\\" When I listen to your comments, it really brings it home about why I love this show. Who cares about Ian? Looking forward to your summer podcasts when you can get to them.

Matthew \"500 days of\" Sommer (seriously, that\'s the best I could come up with), you really, really, really, need to take time out and watch an episode of Frasier called, \"The Focus Group.\" Frasier and Roz sit behind the two-way mirror during a focus group of their show, and everyone in the group loves it, and gushes all over it. Then this one dude, some snarky little Indian fellow, says he doesn\'t like the show, and the only reasoning is, he doesn\'t \"like\" Frasier. So, Frasier flies off the handle and goes to great lengths to try to understand and eventually placate the one dude with the complaint, rather than appreciate all the other fans who loved his show. The moral: You can\'t please \'em all. That said, I love it when you defend the show to people with complaints. It\'s downright hilarious. Like, say, an old episode of Frasier. Bravo. Carry on. PS. The first rule of all entertainment is friction = story. What you or others may consider \"griping\" is in fact a very powerful tool that keeps TWSS fresh and worth coming back to week after week, like crack in the 80s. If you and Kevin loved everything about the show, or never disagreed with each other or the listeners, the show would\'ve died long ago. Long live Crossman. Long live Filmspot-- er, TWSS. Peace.
-
Don’t stop the “griping” – it’s half the fun of listening to your show! If only networks paid attention and cared more about putting out quality products instead of just raking in the revenue, the world would be such a lovelier place. At least for couch potatoes. I listen to the podcast faithfully, even though my enthusiasm for the show itself has waned considerably. You guys really deserve better material to work with than The Office has given you lately. I hope that next season is the last, they pull out all the stops, and that you two can just rock ‘n roll with it to your hearts’ content! I really look forward to each new episode of TWSS – it helps keep me sane at my mind-numbing job. Thanks for all you do.

Hi Matt and Kevin! Thanks for another great Podcast! I wanted to comment on two things. I completely believe that Steve Carell will be back again for another season of the office after his contract expires. I\'ve seen this same scenario play out with the stars of so many shows over the years. Look at Charlie Sheen. A few weeks back the reports online were of him saying he was done and he wasn\'t coming back for another year. Now he has reached an agreement and he will be back for another two years. So I wouldn\'t worry about Steve Carell not being in charge of the office anytime soon. However, if they were following the original version, then Dwight would end up in charge. And even though you were correct that he would want to fire everyone, what if he had some superior who sat on him and limited what he could do? I think it could be funny to see Dwight in charge, but unable to really do anything. I did read today that Zach Woods, who plays Gabe, is now a regular on the series. Second, I really did not believe that anyone on the show would actually be the \"Scranton Strangler\" but now I\'m thinking it is Tony. There have been commercials for the syndicated episodes on my local Fox channel that show a clip of Toby talking to Michael about radon and asbestos. Toby refers to them as the \"silent killers\" and Michael tells Toby he is the silent killer. After that Toby says \"you\'ll see.\" Now when I see that, it\'s creepy! Maybe he went to Costa Rica to get away from the police, and then while he was there he killed again so he came back. Besides, if Jo is going to transfer Holly back to Scranton, something has to be done with Toby. They don\'t need two HR people in Scranton. Finally Matt... you mentioned being a Spice Girl fan back in the day... What would you \"Spice\" name be? (\"Office Spice\"?)

matt, i tried to post a long and involved comment, but i think it failed to go through and i closed the browser and lost it. so i\'ll just say thank you for doing such a great job. hope my netflix subscription through your site helped a bit. please dont ever feel stressed or burdened by the podcast-- we\'ll still listen if it\'s just you and kev turning on the mic and talking. your show prep and the clips, etc. are great but they are not what makes the show great. you are the best and if you lived in L.A. you\'d probably be on E! by now.
-
Thank you for the new episode. Bout time. I don\'t know you didn\'t just do two double episodes. I am a newish listener but have listened to a bunch of old ones and I have a few things to say. First: You are treating Ean (hope I spelled that right) like Roy. No mention in 3 years. Second: the watercooler segment fades into the plotlines. You should hold a contest for the plotline segment. Third: For Phillises wedding you were talking about who smelt it delt it. Whoever said the Rhyme did the crime.It\'s not the object so it\'s not whomever.
-
Matt, I just want to say that you guys do fantastic work (and not that it helps a huge amount, but I did join netflix through your site, and I ended up keeping it even though I had the option to bow out). PLEASE don\'t let the time and effort it takes you to produce the show ever give you pause to wonder if it is all worth it. Podcast audiences are notoriously difficult to tally and track, since there are so many ways to listen--- trust me when I say that there are gazillions of happy listeners who love and respect what you do, and we\'ll follow you to the ends of the earth. If you are ever feeling like you don\'t have a lot of time to do an episode, no problem! Just turn on the mic and chat with Kevin. We\'ll listen. You have carved out a unique and amazing niche for yourself, as a leader of the legions of The Office fans who want to hear intelligent and opinionated discussion. Not sure if there ever will be much (if any) money in it for you, but you\'ve made lots of friends and met tons of cast members and one day maybe podcasting as a whole will develop into something more, and we will all remember that you were there first. If I worked at NBC I would be purchasing your podcasts as dvd extras or something. Listening to your podcast when i\'m alone cleaning my apartment or walking around at night makes me feel like I\'m not alone. Your podcast touches us listeners and they give me guidance through the rough periods between seasons, and the rough weeks when The Office has a weak episode. I think if you lived in Los Angeles, you\'d probably have a job working for E! by now. thank you. - cannibalkid
