Erin struggles to make a scary Halloween party that meets the requests of Andy and Robert. Jim and Pam argue whether or not ghosts are real, while Dwight bonds with Robert's young son, Bert. Writer: Carrie Kemper, Director: Randall Einhorn Another Halloween episode likely filled with circa-2011 pop culture references. Be sure to put this into your time machine for viewing in 2016, when it likely will either be groan-worthy or completely baffling. Please leave your feedback below, and it might just be used on the next episode of the podcast.

One of the funniest lines for me was the "mummies don't exist"/"they do. They're in museums"/"Why would museums do that??!!!" I literally LOL'd at it. I was, however, expecting Jim and Pam to be at the bar at the end of the episode with Pam showing the Office where she saw the old man, Jim making fun of her and everyone looks away but the camera catches the old man. I was actually disappointed that the show ended on the speech/reconciliations and not on the bar. I was hoping for a spooky end. As for the playing out of the Angela storyline-- here's what I think is going to happen. I think the baby is going to be born and it's going to look a helluva lot like dwight (cue the Office looking at it and commenting to the camera about the similarities) Angela will deny, deny, deny and eventually the Senator will leave her, they'll hold up some Scranton paper headline about their divorce and Dwight will come to Angela's rescue. I can't see it playing out any other way. On a side note, it was your constant talking about Parks & Rec that got me watching it this summer and I have to say, I'm hooked. You're right. That show is way better than the Office at this point. I'd listen to a P&R podcast if you started one!

I don't think I laughed one time durring this episode. There wasn't anything I liked that had to do with Robert California and his stupid story that scared everyone. And the rest of the episode was just stupid unnecessary plot to create tension between not just Jim and Pam (which unless they split up as Robert California hinted at, I could care less about), but tension between Erin and Andy. I do not care at all any more whether or not they get together any more. I am realy hoping this season will get better but looking at the next episode I very much doubt that.

Hey, I've been enjoying the podcast for the past couple years. I always look forward to it and I was so glad when you returned after that long hiatus! I agree with Luke A.'s comment. I wasn't sure what to expect for this week, especially since I thought the Jim and Pam plotline sounded dumb. But I actually enjoyed this episode more, and laughed a lot more, than I have any episode since I don't know when -- certainly since this season started, anyway. Like Jacob Wright, I'm not crazy about the Andy-dating-someone-all-of-a-sudden thing... but I thought this was a great episode overall. "I'm fine, bitch! I'm fine."

Am I the only one that's getting sick of Robert California (James Spader)? Last night, he was supposed to be scary or something, but he just weird and annoying. In the office with Erin, I was expecting Andy to tell him to get out, show some backbone finally. I want to make a prediction. The big event this season is going to be Robert California trying to destroy Dunder-Mifflin. It's the only thing, in my view, that makes sense considering Andy's behavior and Robert's behavior. The employees will lose respect for Andy because Andy is constantly being unminded by Robert and the everything will be driven into the ground.

wow! i cant believe how unfunny this is. the garden party was so much better. i think i only laughed once watching the whole thing and it was when kevin said mummies werent real. the sad thing is i think the office can be better without robert california. his fake "steve jobs"ness is annoying. i dont think his speeches were all that impressive.

Hey Guys Glad you're back on the air. I don't know about you guys, but I found this to be the best episode of the season so far. Way better than last years Halloween themed episode, that's for sure. Liked the Erin plotline (particularily Gabe's contribution, which further solidifies his creep status), loved Dwight's newfound friendship with Rober California's son and as for Robert himself, probably the best use of him so far as well. And before anyone says how unrealistic it is, I buy Kevin's fear of mummies and how he thought they weren't real. If your frame of reference are the Brendan Fraser MUMMY movies, you'd think they weren't real either. I'm not a gamer, so I'm wondering. Is that a real game? Is Dwight's costume of an actual character?

The season starts. Mediocrity sweeps the Office. A season Premiere so foul it could have induced labor for Pam and Angela both. Phillips cry for help. But no one hears baby. Here, episode five, baby is heard. It says, "I'm okay bitch" Honestly, i'm not a huge fan of the whole Andy has been dating someone for a while, especially since the cameras would be on him more, because of his new job. But i can't find anything to complain about much in this episode. I enjoyed Robert's fear compilation, wasn't a fan of anything Gabe or Erin in this episode, but other than that, and some of the Dwight Bert stuff, this was a solid A episode for me.
