I'm making a bold statement, just like matt did a few years back, that if mrs California starts having an affair with Andy, I'm going to stop watching the show. This is just the writers trying to spice things up with a little drama but I really cannot see how that dynamic would be funny. Overall a 'nothing' episode with no great laughs or interesting plot lines

I have never been fond of Robert California cuz he seems too awesome/confident of a character to be on the office. I'm glad that they are make him more like a person in this episode by revealing more about who he really is. My favorite part of the show is when jim tries to run away from Andy and California. The moment when he drops his shoe is priceless! Jim still rocks without Pam. Frankly I don't miss Pam at all. I think her pregnancy storyline was getting dull. And lately I've been digging everything Daryl. I like him with Andy; I like him with Dwight. All over, an enjoyable episode.

After a long string of disappointments, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this episode. Maybe because I really don't like Robert California's character, I was finally glad to see someone call him out on his bullshit. Plus, it was great to see the "minor" characters like Creed, Oscar, and Kevin to be used just enough and not too much in a caricature-ish way. And of course, it gave us just enough little nuggets to keep us wanting more (e.g., Mrs. California's "date" with Andy? Darryl finally voicing his desires for Val?) My only minor gripe is that although I like that Pam's delivery was rather understated for this episode, I wish there could have been just a tad bit more to fill in the gaps.

Great episode, but I have some criticisms. The cold open was so derivative of the one when Jim punctured Dwight's yoga ball. Erin and Kevin suddenly seem to have grown brains. And what happened with Pam's delivery? However, this was great writing and great usage of the secondary characters. Ryan's reaction to Mrs. California missing his name was hilarious! I hope we see more of Jim having great insight and Robert getting more multilayered. Please keep up the awesome podcast.

What a great episode. One of the top 3 of the season for me. Loved both story lines. Jim trying to escape was awesome. Jim: "Creed, I was never here." Creed: "OK. What about your friend?" Perfect use of Creed. Oh, and who doesn't want to have a great body for Val Kilmer? Keep the great podcast coming guys!

One of the great things about this show is its ability to make you so uncomfortable that you hide under the covers like a scary movie. This is the first episode that gave me this feeling. Watching Andy squirm in the conference room with the California's was great. This is why this show is not just another sitcom. The dynamic of Robert California is starting to grow on me. He is unpredictable and that demands the group to explore new sides to their comedic personality. We will never have Michael back and if we do, even for an episode, it won't be the same. This is my favorite show and I am willing to hang on to see where this is going to go. I am a faithful listener of the podcast and I don't think we saw any blurred out pictures. But if Gabe does a pelvic roll, I hope they blur that. Also, they seemed very casual about Pam's maternity leave. Big build up last week and now onky one little blurb by Jim. A talking head would have been nice.

Clearly Scranton is the LOST of the corporate world. Executives land a position and then are changed forever! ::cue ominous music:: Remember when Jan was all sane? How about when Ryan was the Everyman? And Charles was hardcore? How about David? Suck it?! Kinda sucked out his brain! ::rimshot:: And let's not forget Joe giving up her CEO position. And now finally, the bermensch, that is Robert "Hotel" California has succumbed to cowardness. How the mighty 1% have fallen. Any chance the hotel in the "The Shining" was where Dunder Mifflin had there corporate retreats?

Overall I enjoyed this episode, although I think Robert California is beginning to overstay his welcome. He didn't have any funny lines at all, and he was just a plain douchebag to Andy. Creed was used perfectly in this episode, I died when he was flying the copter on the roof. A solid B episode.
