Sex Ed | 10/13/2010 Michael comes to work thinking he has a pimple, but it turns out to actually be a cold sore. When he is told that it is a form of herpes, Michael contacts all his ex-girlfriends—Jan (Melora Hardin), Holly (Amy Ryan), Helene (Linda Purl), Donna (Amy Pietz), and Carol (Nancy Carell). Andy holds a sex education meeting in the office hoping to appeal to Erin's passionate side.

This was my favorite episode in a LONG time! It goes from one awkward/funny scene to another. So far this season is going great! I LOVE the non-sensical conversation between Michael and Holly. He is all over the place and making no logical sense and yet she is right there with him step for step. This is why we love her. I wanted to applaud Kevin for his comments on the first episode this season (even if it is a little late). I have always been of the opinion that we don't need to see Dwight "deserve" being pranked. I think the idea is that we have seen, ever since the pilot, Dwight's annoying habits and personality. We can therefore assume that he has done something either on or off camera to deserve a little pranking from Jim or Pam, or a little derision from Michael. A great example of this was in "The Cover Up" Pam says: It all started when Dwight was tapping his foot against the leg of his desk. When I asked him to stop, he said, "I will when you lose the baby weight." It's just an example that Dwight continues his annoying behavior even when the camera isn't rolling. Therefore, whenever we as audience see someone pranking Dwight and it doesn't look directly deserved, I think it's pretty safe to say that he probably did something annoying off camera in the past 24 hours to have earned it.

The Hangover 2 starts shooting in two weeks. Are we to expect a BJ Novack-like hiatus from Andy? Will he return with bleach-blonde locks and a healthy tan, working in a bowling alley, stealing shoes, presumably, to sell on the hipster black market? "A fence with a hole."

Hey Matt & Kevin! I was watching the new episode, and I enjoyed the blasts from the past. However I noticed something Carol said that didn't seem right Carol mentioned that Michael proposed to her on the fourth date, and in my head a flag went off, because I was pretty sure it was the ninth, or so Carol said in "Diwali." I went back, and sure enough, it was nine. Continuity error!

I've just started listening to your podcast over the summer and have downloaded some of my favorite episodes and all the new ones but while watching some old episodes of The Office I realived that Micheal is in like a 30 year contract for his condo and since Steve Carel is leaving I wonder if they will some how get him out of it or just drop it.

Matt, I usually agree with you about cold opens, but I loved this one. The whole office just standing there, waiting to see if the poor schmuck would pick the right tool or die in the attempt so deliciously cold-blooded. Overall, another great episode. They seem to be pulling out all the stops this season after basically sleeping on the job the last two years. The Michael storyline was solid gold. The info on how Gabe stole Erin was more ouch than funny, but very true to Andys character. With any luck, soon the writers will let poor Andy come out of the closet once and for all. Ooh maybe then he will fall for gay warehouse guy, infuriate Oscar, and start yet ANOTHER pointless workplace romantic triangle!

Why is "Assy" so big?! There is no way that much time has passed. It has not been three or four years since "Baby Shower". Way to pay attention there, writers. Also, I guess they're dropping the whole "Pam is a dirty liar" thing? I love this show much, I wish it would stop disappointing me.

Overall I liked this episode better than the first three. I enjoyed it more the second time around. I found myself feeling bad for Michael, which I cant recall ever doing. We have had this cliff hanger about him getting closure with holly, and now we got to see how she feels, and it is just crushing for Michael. I Liked the message he left at the end of the episode, but I'm not sure what will happen in the end with those two. Some fans wishes where answered when we saw some angry Andy, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. I don't think it'd be a bad idea if he just moved on and did better than Erin, she kinda deserves it, and we don't need another Jim and Pam type of build up again. All the attention on Andy lately kind of makes you wonder, could he be the front runner to replace Michael? That whole conference room scene could easily be imagined as Andy having the role of manager. This episode had a good amount of laughs, and a good amount of reality checks for Michael getting closure with his ex's, which I think is what made it such a well rounded episode. There where a good amount of funny moments, but I think the last scene takes the cake. Michael basically considering Oscar as one of his lovers! The way Michael and Dwight listed the locations, and how funny and creative some of those locations where was great. Ya gotta love those awkward Michael Oscar moments where Oscar leaves the room. In my opinion this season is shapping up to be one of the best since two.
