To Robin - I\'m pretty sure the person on the face of the $3 bill was George Bush. But I think it looks like a different person to various people. I can\'t believe I\'m saying this - finally - even if it\'s only part 1 of 2, but that was one of the best \"Office\" episodes in my list of personal classic favorites. I could watch Jim and Dwight interact all day long. Seriously. If the writers decided to do a special episode of only one storyline, I would like to see Halpert and Schrute be snarky, bitching brothers for the whole half hour. It\'s hilarious. Krasinski and Wilson\'s chemistry is perfect. Then, Pam and Michael - another dynamic - is pure gold. He goes about being clueless Michael, while Pam keeps him happy. I also loved seeing Karen. It was closure for Pam and for the audience to witness how she moved on so happily. I was always Team Pam, but I really like/liked Karen - so kudos for having them both take the high road. Andy is adorable. He is. But I think we need a few episodes without him in the forefront for a while. When I re-watch this episode, I fast forward through his wooing. It\'s a sweet storyline, but too soon. Can\'t wait for tonight\'s second part!! (And I can\'t wait to hear your podcast.)

Matt - the podcast is great! I\'ll keep listening. Interesting points for sure - One thing I\'ll add - when I said nitpicking I meant when people point out small irregularities amongst the more trivial things in the show. The example above was Jim and Pam\'s mortgage payments. I thought that should have been obvious enough to not need explanation. Or another example - I also thought it was reasonable enough that Wallace took on some of Jan\'s old position talking with Michael during the last year - cause I remember that\'s been raised before. But that\'s not too much a stretch for companies I\'ve seen or worked for. One last point - I definitely don\'t want to take away from us being critical and analyzing the show on the major plots, and of course - how funny and clever it is - cause that\'s why I\'m here right now and why I listen to the podcast!

The face on Creed\'s $3 bill was that of Sir Wilfred Laurier, the 7th Prime Minister of Canada. He\'s actually on our current $5 bill. My husband spotted that. We thought it was pretty funny. Maybe Creed is still spending the odd weekend in the welfare state of Toronto.

Thought this episode was pretty simple but funny, 2 3 solid storys with the party planning, Andy in love and michaels trip. Can see michael geeting to see holly and her being with some1 else only to fall for him again, pls i really hope shes not pregnant!! Thought karens husband was a ringer for jim. And just a thought when will we see Tod Packer again!!

^i thought jim bought pam a house. now she\'s complaining to michael about having to pay a mortgage? -- you know I think its expected that an engaged couple would share mortgage payments - even if Jim put down the initial down-payment, which must be what he meant before. Also - I wanna say one thing: out of all the nitpicking I\'ve heard about the show - I\'ve yet to hear one substantial or fair one I can agree with. I know its tempting and fun watercooler talk to point them out - but I think doing that is more about us fans really showing each other what big fans we are or how much we pay attention to try and show off - silly as that sounds. Put it this way - if we can think of a simple way that makes these little discrepancies connect - and I always can - we gotta give the writers a pass ya\'ll!

This was by far the most enjoyable episode of the season for me so far. It seems like everybody else is dumping on the Andy plot line, but I really enjoyed it, and I thought that it really added depth to his character by showing how much he really does struggle with women. Also the Dwight and Jim plot line was an absolute classic, the ballons matching the carpet was a great. The Micheal and Pam plot line was great, I\'d never really thought about the fact that Karen never had closure, but it really was nice to sum everything up for her. Plus I think that Pam was all for Micheal having closure because once she got closure she realized how great it was and she was probably one of the only people in the office that realized how much he struggled with her leaving.

Putting Dwight & Jim in charge of the party planning committee is Michael\'s smartest management move since moving Ryan to the annex. One of the complaints I saw from posters on the SB episode was that it seemed that Andy had too quickly gotten over his feelings for Angela. I think we see in this episode that it\'s not that he has gotten over her, but rather his broken heart served the plot better this week. I have to agree with a previous poster that even when there is an episode that is not so good, Thursday night at 9:00 is still one of the highlights of my week. There have only been a couple of episodes that have not made that time one of my favorite TV watching experiences of the week--Phyllis\' Wedding and The Dinner Party come to mind. Looking forward to the podcast!

The Andy plotline was hard for me to watch, BUT I liked how it ended up. Poor Andy, never take advice from Creed. I am anxiously awaiting next weeks continuation. I wonder why Pam was so gung-ho about Michael seeing Holly . . . I also liked the Karen plotline and they way they tied it up. But, WOW. I NEVER imagined Dwight and Jim as the party planning committee. GENIUS! I enjoyed watching Dwight attempt to blow up the balloons more. HA HA!

one comment. i thought jim bought pam a house. now she\'s complaining to michael about having to pay a mortgage? what\'s the deal here? isn\'t jim paying for that? it\'s not like pam gets paid much, why is she paying for her own present? also, Matt, I think it\'s time you added the Nard Dog to your TWSS website art at the top. Either replace Roy, or stick the Dog into the lower left (obviously that publicity photo is pre-Andy). great show, as always, can\'t wait to hear what you guys thought this week. PLEASE BRING BACK HOLLY!!!!!

I thought it was George W. Bush on the $3 bill...I need to watch it again, obviously. I loved this episode! I really enjoyed the Karen bits - I think we all needed closure on that whole mess. I found the Andy plotline to be pretty ridiculous. I might like it better on a re-watch, but I just thought it was out of nowhere and they seemed to make it more important than I thought it should have been. I love seeing Jim and Dwight together. Dwight totally deserves every bit he gets - what a tool.

I realize that some episodes are better than others, but when a show is special to me like the Office (or the Simpsons), I love it like a family member. It\'s not that there are not times I\'m unhappy with it, or even frustrated or disappointed with it, but I still love it. That also means that when it really shines it makes me really happy!

I didn\'t realize how much I prefer the low key approach of the series until this episode, and I am so glad that they\'ve returned to it after the antics of the Superbowl episode. Don\'t get me wrong, I love seeing Angela throwing her cat into the ceiling, but this is better in the long term. What I liked. As a Karen fan, I was never satisfied with the \"Branch Wars\" episode and how they supposedly wrapped up Karen\'s arc. But with this ep, along with Pam, we who liked Karen finally got closure with her and saw that she did get a happy ending. And Dwight and Jim as the heads of the party planning committee is the funniest interaction between the two of them in the entire series. MORE PLEASE. And this is also some of the best Michael/Pam interaction since \"Business School\", especially at the end. What I didn\'t like. Andy\'s plotline went nowhere, and I have come around to agreeing that Michael not figuring out that his \"office as family\" philosophy is what\'s making them a success is out of character for him. It would have been interesting to see Karen\'s reaction to THAT philosophy. Hopefully we can see that in another lecture in part 2.

Oh the \'Nard Dog can\'t catch a break! I was thinking that he would of had a crush on Kelly when I read the synopsis. (I think that would be an awesome relationship between the two, considering that he did ask Jim about her.) Maybe Andy saves Kelly\'s Birthday which wins her over. What do you guys think of Kappor and the nard dog hooking up?
-
TWSS Matt - I agree! Thank goodness! And how fun was that Talking Head with Jim and Dwight? I love that they are the party planning committee now. Seriously - balloons to match the carpet! I don\\\'t know what I think about the \\\"To be Continued . . .\\\" part of it, but at least I am excited to watch the next episode. What if Holly is pregnant? Whoa.

A complete waste of my time. After the way they treated Karen Fillipelli in season 3, I vowed not to watch again. I tuned in to see her return and had to endure 30 minutes of uninteresting drama with a few seconds of Karen being a sourpuss. The drama is so manufactured and forced it\'s annoying to watch. If this is a comedy, then PLEASE let\'s see something funny!!! I can\'t freaking wait until Parks and Recreations!!

Well said Matt. I thought tonight\'s episode was fantastic. I was anxious to see whether they were going to use the new title sequence and while I liked seeing the entire cast, when I saw that they used the regular titles, I immediately felt like the episode was going to be a return to what we all love and know. Loved, loved, loved Dwight\'s line about Jim hurting his feelings - but it\'s a good thing his feeling regenerate twice as fast as normal feelings. Classic Dwight! Can\'t wait for next week.
