------------------ Ah, who DOESN'T love a good Valentine's Day story in March? Bizarre scheduling aside, I'm looking forward to tonight's episode as it seems rife with comedic possibilities (plus, this will be my first official episode of The Office on my new HDTV). As always, post your comments below, and join us in the NEW and IMPROVED TWSS Chatroom after the show.

At second viewing, I think I appreciated this episode a little more. It still wasn\'t funny, but had a lot of awww moments, particularly with the office rallying around Michael. I felt like Steve Carrell dipped back into a Dan in Real Life moment, which I really enjoyed. He really is an understated actor.

This episode depended too much on Steve Carell. But it didn\'t work because he had this placating way about him that never broke through with any emotion. The restaurant time w Pam, Jam, Phyllis and Bob was not funny and mostly pathetic. Kevin was good though and I also liked hearing that Andy was on his honeymoons!! Disappointing.

I didn\'t really enjoy this episode. The Pam/Jim plotline was a little predictable, a little boring, and just written somewhat poorly. The Micheal plot was ok, but so much could have been done better than just one or two jokes. Not the funniest episode, and I expected a lot out of it. PS. I think I saw some bad editing at the end of the Dwight \"retract my penis up into itself.\" joke, because Dwight starts to chuckle a little, and that is very uncharacteristic of Dwight Or is that just me nitpicking?

Carnations Jim? Sorry to be a snob, but this episode was just like Pam\'s \"bouquet\" - safe, boring, and cheap. I don\'t always need huge laugh out loud moments, but for me, this episode was predictable and a little dull. On a more positive note, I did enjoy seeing the office so supportive of Michael and the parking lot scene at the end was great. But it was a long twenty minutes leading up to that shot. Maybe a second viewing will help my outlook on this episode, and I\'m anxious to hear what Matt and Kevin have to say.

I kept waiting for the big embarassing moment in this episode and other than turning the lady away from the party, there really wasn\'t one for me. So, overall, I enjoyed it. I loved that everyone decided to stay a little longer at the party; I just assumed it was because they would rather be there together than go home and be alone. The Pam/Jim/Bob/Phyllis storyline was okay. I would have loved to see more Jwight, though.

I wasn\'t sure about this episode the first time I watched, for some reason. I felt like the whole Michael plot line was kind of sad. Though it does kind of go back to the idea of the office being a family, and it was nice to see the other people in the office supporting Michael. As far as the Jim/Pam plot line, I agree that for the most part it was kind of hokey, how the double \"jim\" look at the camera was priceless. Overall I thought the episode was good, but not great.

Good episode. It felt solid & consistent with the characters. However, did it make ANY sense that Michael would turn away that girl from the blood drive who came in looking for the party? Honestly, I know he was bummed but did he think she wasn\'t pretty? Was this to show Michael as a superficial jerk? It may have been funny or at least understandable if he had a connection with say a really old or a very unattractive woman (or even if it was a guy with a soft voice). But for him to be looking the whole night for a woman, only to turn her away, & have her be the ONLY person he turns away makes no sense to me. He let Kevin\'s girl come in (clearly not Michael\'s type!), so even if he wasn\'t attracted to her, why not try to set her up with someone else? It didn\'t ruin the episode for me, but it would have been better if another character turned her away, or she went to the wrong door, or Michael had left the party & missed her or something, ANYTHING besides Michael turning her away. Also...WHY DIDN\'T HE RECOGNIZE HER VOICE!!!!!

Seemed like a simple, quiet episode. Not many laugh out loud moments - as someone said above - but still a good one. I like that the writers are trying newer dynamics with Pam, Jim, Phyllis and Bob - characters mixed together in a small group for the first time - it worked out alright. The stealing food from another plate was sorta cute, it was a small, relatable situation - like when Pam was real hungry in \"Dinner Party.\"

I thought it was a good episode, however a couple things bugged me, the big thing is now we have had 2 episodes without the Nard-Dog! (I don\\\'t buy the whole he is on one of his honeymoons excuse.) the second one was why was Stanley at the mixer? he is married. Toby would of made sense to be at this event. Nice call back to Kevin\\\'s fiancee though. Also was it me or was Angela also out of place in this episode as well. (I did like the fact that she has had 2 sets of men duel over her.) A huge improvement from the lecture circuit part 2, hopefully it will put the show back on track for a great run home for this season.

Hey Matt I am shocked that you are actually anticipating this ep. I am more nervous about this episode than all the licking cats, driving into lakes and kidnapping pizza boys moments put together. Why, you may ask? Because the writers have specifically said that if they were to ever do the \"Blood Drive\" or the \"Earth Day\" plotline, that that is the sign that they\'re literally scraping the bottom of the barrel of ideas and could be a sign of the beginning of the end. So the fact that this episode exists puts me more on edge than anything else. Hopefully the writers will find a way to makes this ep original and exciting. And I\'ll check in with my reactions. But regardless of the outcome, please mention this fact in your next podcast, at least at the beginning.
