This was definitely a solid episode. although, I do hate it when they make Michael into a total ass, not because I have a special fondness for Michael, but because it just bothers the crap out of me. Kevin was the clear shining star for this episode, I hope he continues to say EXACTLY what is on his mind from now on!

One of my least favorite episodes of the season. Aside from the triple talking head, the falling on the sword bit, Kevin\'s final moment, Dwight and Michael arguing and the KGB stuff, this ep was just pure set up for Idris Elba\'s character. And as someone whose lived around pallets my whole life, Michael not knowing what one is the writers making Michael way dumber than he is. I was more bothered by that then the bird flying west bit. All in all, a dud episode that I won\'t be coming back to anytime soon.

Unrelated to this episode specifically - but I\'ve been watching Arrested Development again and have seen many, many Office connections -- check it out: - Kevin sold Tobias a gun - Phyllis was at a Bluth company meeting (but didn\'t speak) - Darryl worked in the parking lot of the studio where Maeby worked. - GOB\'s \"solid as a rock\" secretary was \'seeing\' Quincy Jones -- who is Karen\'s father (okay that one\'s a bit of a stretch, but still) - John Krasinski watches football with Michael Bluth (this was on Leno last week)

I thought the episode started off great and slowly went downhill. I enjoyed the open and Michael as Willy Wonka was fantastic. The Jim/Pam/Andy scenes were funny, but I was getting really irritated and bored with the Michael/Dwight plot. That plot seemed similar to Drug Testing and I hate seeing Michael as a complete jerk. Overall, better than last week.

I liked this episode, I thought it was a solid one. The set-up seemed classic: Michael makes a bad decision for the office and it falls apart, at least until the twist. You think maybe the writers created a plot that threatens the financial security of the office as a shoutout to the current real world economy? Maybe. But maybe I\'m way off. I\'m throwin it out there though, cause hey, in the spirit of Wallace, \"in this economy, its Hail Mary time.\" The Kevin storyline was great -- I liked seeing the shouting-triple-talking head with Jim, Pam and Andy. Andy\'s advice was pretty funny as well -- not too far off from a lot of \"advice\" being thrown around right now. \"At a civil rights rally\" \"At an Obama fashion show\" \"Stuck in an oil painting\" I\'m using all of those in real life real soon.

I hated this episode until David Wallace showed up. Not just because he is a beautiful, beautiful man but also because I couldn\'t stand watching Michael be a douchebag for one more second. And before Wallace appeared, the episode was dragging on a little bit. Too many unnecessary asides (Shoe La La, Dwight falling on a sword), it seemed like they were filling in time. However Kevin and Andy were both pretty great, and I did like Jim and Pam sticking up for Dwight.

Looks like I will be in the minority here but that\'s OK. I don\'t like the phrase \"jumped the shark\" but that is what happened last night for me, bigtime. It is beyond belief that Wallace (who is beautiful, Bess, agreed!) didn\'t fire Michael on the spot for setting up a discount promotion without corporate approval, lying to him about a promotion and setting up the company\'s top salesman for dismissal for something that was his idea in the first place. The episode had a lot of heart and a lot of laughs overall but I crossed over a line when that happened into utter unbelievability. And I hate that that has happened. I did like the Kevin storyline, and Ed Helms is really growing on me. That face when he was looking down on Kevin talking to his girl was priceless. Reminds me of a common theme among my firends when I was still single when you look at someone less attractive than you and wonder how they have someone and you don\'t. That was good. I can\'t be totally negative on this show but I hate the way that the Michael storyline played out and wish they\'d somehow not made Michael such a heartless bastard.

I called the plot twist (Dwight would take the fall but it would turn out to be a great idea) to my wife during the show. But it was funny anyway. One of the few times I liked watching Michael in the pain (of not getting the credit). Normally I don\'t like to see Michael (or anyone) suffering or being embarrassed. But this was justice. And you know he just can\'t not say something to switch the roles again. Michael saying he wanted all the credit and none of the blame summed it up perfectly.

Well, Matt. It took you what? Two, maybe three hours to get the new header on the site. No slacking next time... Anyway, Thursday Kevin really loved this episode. Tons of laughs and a nicely small but enjoyable B storyline with Kevin. Great cold open, too.
