---------- Well, LOTS of questions to be answered in tonight's episode-- what will Michael do now? How the reign of Charles Miner be overturned? What, exactly, will happen to all of those figs? Can't wait to see how this all plays out. As always, leave your comments below, and join Kevin and me in the TWSS Chatroom during and after the episode airs.

I liked this episode. Charles continues to spice things up, and his bad attitude blinds him from good business sense. Seeing Jim squirm is fun, but smug or not, I still root for him, and feel Chuck is using Halpert\'s slacker persona to use him as a kicking boy. Not cool. There were spoilers, so I knew that Pam was going to leave. I just didn\'t know how, so it wasn\'t too much of a shocker for me, but I can see how it was for some. I\'m glad she took a stand, I just wondered why she was so rash about leaving for this particular opportunity, when she had just said earlier to Michael that he should \"think things through\". I like Pam, but sadly I\'m not loving her fanciness as much as I had hoped. It\'s all about Pam now, and it\'s not like she was a repressed girl from the Sudan - she\'s a girl who needed to find courage, found it, got the boy and needs to find a career. I think she\'s found a decent level of growth already. I\'m not enjoying the \"Pam Finds Her Mojo...Again, Show\". I will be killed for saying this, but in this horrible economic climate - with newspapers dieing as well as the paper industry, I kind of don\'t want to see Michael\'s company succeed. Go ahead and throw a rolled up sandwich wrapper at me, but it would go against all of the sage business advice (and warnings) that Oscar provided to Michael. He was right. And if Michael\'s company succeeds, it would kind of piss me off. But having said that - I do hope that Michael and Pam succeed in their own way..just realistically - even if it means they never come back to Dunder Mifflin (if it even survives). A paper company with Ryan, Jan, Pam and the poor folks at Prince Paper, to me, is a headache just waiting to happen. Ok...Debi Downer on a Monday morning. It\'s not hate. I think I was hoping the Office would go in other directions.

To Propaniac: you think that Pam stayed at DM because of Michael? Over Jim? Did I read your comment wrong? I agreed with the rest of your posting but not sure about that one part. I think we all had to know after Pam returned from NYC that DM-Scranton was just too little for her. Living in Jim\'s parents\' old house near the quarry where Creed hangs out when he\'s not living under his desk...what girl wouldn\'t think that\'s heaven?

On first viewing, I thought the episode was mostly just decent, with a handful of standout moments. But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ending. Pam\'s decision was totally shocking and yet it made absolute perfect sense. She knows what she\'s in for if she stays, and the only thing that\'s made it bearable for this long is Michael and all the surprises and challenges he brings with him. Leaving with him is foolish but it means change and risk and hope (and she\'s lucky enough to have the most wonderful fiancee ever who\'ll support her in chasing such a wild opportunity). And the Graduate homage was perfect. On a second viewing, I definitely appreciated the rest of the episode more, as well. (Although I could have done without hearing of the demise of Prince Family Paper--that\'s just mean, writers.)

GREAT EPISODE! This is the first episode this season that I\'ve felt 100% about. I think we are getting set up to see a very big demise of Charles Miner. I think that the ridiculous idea of putting Stanley in charge of productivity and Kevin on phones, along with his willingness/readiness to get physical with Michael (\"We don\'t need Hank!\" BTW, where was Toby in all this?!), is foreshadowing for Wallace to end up sending him back to Satticoy Steel. I can\'t wait to see what happens! Michael is one of the few people in the office who really believes in Pam (going to her art show, etc) and I\'m excited and can\'t wait to see them kicking ass at Michael Scott Paper! (and if all else fails, there is always Shoe-la-la!) Also, finding out that Prince Family Paper is out of business mad me sad, but I LOVE the writers for finally throwing us some continuity.

Pam leaving with Michael was understandable because she has not much to lose in her receptionist \"career\". There is some history of loyalty with these two. As someone mentioned above, Michael did come to her art show and even purchased one of her paintings. Remember that hug she gave him?

Just like the last few episodes, this one isn\'t roll in the floor hilarious. However this is probably my favorite this season besides \"Weight Loss\". The only thing that really bugs me about this episode is the Angela-Kelly plot line, it\'s anti-funny at best. It would work a lot better, and acctually be hilarous if it was Merideth and Kelly instead of Angela. Now with that said, everything else in this episode was great, I didn\'t have a problem at all with Pam quiting too, if you go back and watch the talking head where she talks about how she knows everything about the copier, and that look she gets on her face, you really start to understand where she is coming from, she just realizes that she\'s stuck in a box, and that she needs to get out of there fast. I also thought that montage of the copier being destroyed was classic, especially when Kevin spilled his coffee all over it. Michael calling Prince Paper was a great call back too, and that old mans sad voice makes me laugh every time I hear it, and when the showed Michael\'s \"notes on his job search I had the biggest laugh of the episode, seriously just \"Prince Paper\" and other companies, classic Michael Scott. Now unlike most office fans I have seen the entire run of the orginal UK version, and some of the funnier gags was when David Brent was out on his own, one episode in particular in which Brent is selling household cleaners door to door is comedy gold.

so if michael starts up a new paper company and one by one each person leaves dunder mifflin and follows his lead, will the documentary be more about a dying industry or about family? talk about redemption... a huge payoff for the final season finale... i think we\'ll have one more season.

First of all I wanted to say I loved this episode. Especially after how much I hated last week\'s. It was funny, there was plot development, character growth, and it left me excited for things to come. At first I was very apprehensive at the thought of Michael leaving, but this episode has quelled my fears, I\'m now looking forward to seeing what kind of shenanigans Michael and Pam will get up to while starting their new business. Also, I just want to say that the scene at the end with Michael and Pam was just as sweet as any of the best \"Jam\" moments. I personally think that her decision was right for her character. This might just be me, but I\'ve always viewed Pam\'s relationship with Michael as somewhat maternal. If Michael is the kid in the Office then Pam is his mom. She puts up with his nonsense and does her best to keep him in line, but more importantly she understands him more than most people do. So for her to take Michael\'s business endeavor as an opportunity for her to do something more with her life does not seem out of character to me.

I have to admit I was just waiting for this one to end. I understand it was necessary plot-wise, and I am really enjoying this story arc, but the entire episode was predictable. Also there were no decent subplots to take the focus off the main story, only the irritating Angela versus Kelly love war. However I am excited for the next episode(s) because I love Michael/Pam interaction, so I can appreciate the episode purely on a set-up level.

Mel, I also got the \"Jerry Maguire\" connection. And being a big movie fan, I was reminded of the end of \"The Graduate\" when Michael and Pam are walking away from the building after their \"company meeting\" and their faces change from exhilarated smiles to looks of \"What the hell do we do now?\" Did anyone else make that connection? Anyone? Anyone?

\"just saying its sterile doesn\'t make it so Michael\" - a great Oscar callback Put me down on the list for this being one the better episodes -- really great on a lot of levels. Great classic office humor with Pam vs. the photocopier, and the photocopier montage with Angela\'s cat and Creed\'s coins. Definitely some the episode\'s funniest moments for me. BTW - I think one of ya\'ll predicted on the podcast that Michael might try and work for Prince Family Paper. So credit due! I think it was a clever plot twist with Pam at the end -- keeps the show unpredictable. So I really gotta disagree with Chris above as well - I don\'t think its a lame plot for her to quit - as you called it. I\'m thinking this: -she always said she didn\'t like the idea of being \"just the secretary\" -its a continuation of her five-season-long push to be more daring -she still lives and is engaged to Jim - I don\'t get what you were getting at there. Might even say there might be some good things about a couple not working all day a few feet from each other (although I know she\'ll be back anyway) -and lastly even in the worst economic times other secretary jobs will still be found in the \"help wanted\" section - as Michael said

Not one of my favs. Wouldn\'t make my top ten. More of the same Michael antics but no resolution. Waiting till next episode to decide. Michael not concerned about job loss maybe Nana is still sending the checks. Also don\'t understand why Jim is risking his job especially when he spoke about having to pay a mortgage in Golden Ticket. Puzzling especially since everyone else seemed to be \'working\' in the office that he would risk it.
-
Betcha anything that the cast gets so upset at the new boss for making them do actual work that Michael comes back with Pam, who is understandably flustered that she has to be a receptionist again. Saw the same thing happen in an episode of \"My Gym Partner is a Monkey\".

So, most of everything I\'m gonna say has already been said, but I will add my input regardless. I was happy to see an episode that actually held my attention the full time first of all. Also, the camera stuff in this episode. Who directed and wrote this week? I think it will be interesting to see how Jim processes this since we all know how well he gets along with Charles Miner. Overall I loved this episode.

It\'s been ten minutes since my first viewing of the episode, but this is in my top 5 for best episode of the season and quite possibly the season. This is vintage \"Office\" right here. Michael being Michael without going overboard (even with him crawling on the floor), great moments from everyone in the office, some great black humor with the demise of Prince Family Paper, and an emotional finale that will rival Casino Night, the art show, Pam and Dwight in the hallway and the beach games confession as the most dramatic moment in the series. Matt, I can\'t wait to hear some rare gushing from you on this.
