From Wikipedia: St. Patrick's Day | 3.11.10 Michael (Steve Carell) thinks he impressed Jo (Kathy Bates) only to discover someone else in the office caught her eye. Meanwhile, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) makes trouble on Jim's (John Krasinski) first day back from paternity leave. Andy (Ed Helms) and Erin (Ellie Kemper) have an interesting first date. -----------
So. Hm. Here we are. For those of you that don't follow my Twitter feed, let me repeat some of what I said this past week-- I'm tired. Burned out, really, and TWSS is definitely taking a back seat to a lot of the other issues in my life right now. Out podcast for THE DELIVERY is late, and I'm not sure when we're going to get back into it. And NO, I'm not quitting because I hated the episode or anything (I liked it a good deal, actually) like that. And NO, I'm not even quitting. I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I plan to return as soon as I can manage. OK, on to tonight's episode. The real city of Scranton has a long tradition of having a huge St. Patrick's Day parade, and the creators of THE OFFICE have long wanted to do something with that plotline. In the past, March has always been a hiatus month so nothing could be done. It will be interesting to see how much (if any) this real-life event will play into tonight's show. I still plan on being in the TWSS Chatroom tonight if you want to stop by. Hit the green "Chat Now" button on the side of the screen.

So it wasn\'t all bad: I liked that they kept the baby in the storyline without showing the baby at all! I loved the Dwight and Angela contract stuff, very funny. Glad Jo is leaving and we won\'t have to have the dumb dogs and her around the office. However: Not a fan of the quad desk. Too unbelievable. It would take too much time, effort and personal risk to sit like that(especially if you wanted to spend time at home with your new baby). Pranks like \"replacing all of Dwights pens with crayons\" were much funnier. Erin is weird in an endearing way, but the writers are pushing it too far. She is not a quirky person but a cartoon now. Hope everything is okay Matt and that you just need some recuperating time. Thoughts and prayers are with you, but know that you and Kevin are missed!

Pac-Man is back, Gay Matt is back, Erin kisses Nard-Dog (ok, ok, on the cheeks), Jim pranks Dwight and there\'s booze for everybody? Fantastic episode! In fact, it was so god that it made me a believer that \"The Office\" and all other types of media related to it (including documentaries, doctorate thesis, congressional reports, reality shows, religious services blogs and specially PODCASTS) should and must have a long life. Matt, as a follower of the podcast since show #1, I\'d be extremely sad if you decided to call it quits. Even worse than when they cancelled \"Melrose Place\" or \"Beverly Hills 90210\".

While I totally understand that you\'re a bit burned out, I would really hate to see you go. Your wonderful podcast is always something to look forward to because of all the time and energy you put into it. You are a clear perfectionist, which is why I\'m such a huge fan. Anyway, happy St. Patrick\'s day! I hope yours doesn\'t include needlessly working late, a creepy roommate, or Mega-Desk. Well, Mega-Desk was pretty awesome, as was the fact that Jim was up to his old pranks again. :)

They dusted off Todd Packer for this? What a terrible episode, I\'ve had more fun watching paint dry. What was up with the cold close? That\'s a new one, and, may I say completely moronic and unfunny. What\'s up with the pseudo-incestuous Erin angle? Good lord this was the pink-chested belly flops of Office episodes. For shame...

Sometimes I wonder if the writers have been peeking at my private life to fuel their story lines. My fiancee and I met as co-workers several years back. Just a few months after we became an item, we embarked on a long-distance relationship for the length of grad school (5 years). And with this episode, we saw a first date get postponed due to one of us being sick. I did not pull an Andy and go to her house anyway, though. Writers, it\'s oddly flattering, yet also creepy that you\'ve taken so much from my life and put it into your scripts. Maybe I should sue. ;-)
