Episode # 101 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin cataloging their previous lovers. Give it a rest, pencil dick! When Michael learns he has herpes (or maybe just a cold sore), Dwight guilts him into taking a trip down sexual memory lane. Why? Revenge, of course. And maybe some personal growth if there's time. Meanwhile, Andy tries to impress Erin by teaching a sex ed seminar in the conference room. It goes about as well as can be expected. Angry? you won't LIKE him when he's angry. ANDY SMASH! At least Darryl's there to pick up the pieces. Incidental music provided by Music Alley from Mevio. Just found your guys podcast after all these years of watching the office, and am trying to catch up for this season. Thought I'd drop a few comments on here. First off, you guys seem so cynical towards the office. Its like you really think this should be a documentary and you try and pick apart everything that's a little unbelievable. This show has long since stopped trying to appear as a true documentary. They keep the theme going with the talking heads and documentary style cameras, but you have to "suspend belief" after that. Second, this season is the funniest Dwight has ever been, and is the first time that I've actually liked most of his stuff. How Kevin couldn't like the day laborer segment is beyond me. Third. The office olympics episode is one of my all time worst, so maybe that explains why I don't agree with your points on some of the newer episodes. Any

Okay, here goes my rant: I was surprised that you both didn't love this episode the way I did! I was especially shocked that Kevin didn't like this episode more. He often loves things that the writers leave in for the long time fans. This episode was full of them. For instance, the old lady in the park joke. If you didn't know why Michael and Helene broke up, it wouldn't be as funny. Also, both Kevin and Matt love season 2, so I was surprised that they didn't like that the format of this episode was a lot like "office olympics". I think its been enough time that we can revisit that formula. And if they need to revisit formulas for this show, I'm glad they are going back to the ones that worked! (ie Christmas Party for Secret Santa and Office Olympics for this episode.) This was my favorite episode of the season. I thought some of the funniest lines were how Michael was obsessing so much about what Holly said. That just felt SO real to me. And every time you thought he was going to say something relating to herpes, he was ruminating about Holly's comment. Carol asks him, "Michael why are you here?" and you assume he's going to say something about his lip and instead he says "someone told me that I romanticize relationships". And he does the same thing with Helene, Jan and in the car with Dwight. Those were some of the funniest moments to me. I also didn't think this episode was that plot heavy. It went from one funny scene to the other and the only way it may have moved the plot forward was to solidify Michael's feelings for Holly, which we all already knew. And it addressed the Andy-Gabe-Erin thing, but it didn't really move that forward. It's still the same ol' triangle. I was sad that you didn't gush over this episode the way I did, but to each his own! I still loved the podcast.

I understand that they couldn't have put it in because of more pressing events, but that Pam and Jim plotline seems like the perfect set up to me. They could be genuinely angry, which would be a nice break from the snarky yet oh-so-meant-to-be dynamic, but it wouldn't seem all-threatening because we wouldn't know what the problem was. It could just be one of those trivial little spats that are part of real life. Sad to hear it was cut.

Great Show, guy. About Andy, it really makes no sense that he'd replace Michael, or at least in my opinion. But "Sex Ed" is making me think that the writers might be trying to return Andy to his season 3 persona. (Cocky and scheming.) I was thinking about it and of all the core cast, only Michael and Dwight have remained consistant to their origonal role. Jim and Pam have grown up in their own ways and Andy(who may or may not be part of the ensemble, you can argue that.)has turned softer and ...well...sillier. With Michael leaving, Dwight may not be enough for the long time fans. Andy screwing over Gabe or alienating Erin might bring back the old dynamic.

Great podcast again, but I think you cut the best line of the episode with Helene. Michael was talking about the whirlwind romance and then he said "summer ended for you". I think even with the 4th episode not being so GREAT this is still the best start to a season in years.
