Matt and Kevin...I love you. But I swear sometimes it\'s like I\'m watching a different show than you guys are. Your confusion as to why Pam is upset during her phone call with Jim in Business Trip -- is confusing ME! It\'s not just failing the class, it\'s not just being away from Scranton or Jim. It\'s all of the above! The girl is obviously feeling conflicted and misses her man... And Matt, Jim absolutely WAS an upset boyfriend when he was on the phone with her. Just because he didn\'t say the words, \"I\'m frustrated,\" or whatever, it doesn\'t mean it wasn\'t there. The look on his face as he was saying \"it\'s not about me\", said everything. There was a ton of subtext there. The moral of this story is: people have complex emotions. :-)

Melonie - great comments (as always... but these were a step up from your usually great insights). Hitch and Matt - I can\'t tell whether to be happy to sad that the negative reviews of the show always single Matt out. I kind of feel like I deserve at least some of the negative spewing. And, Hitch. At least listen to the podcast before throwing stones. I don\'t know there\'s been a single TWSS episode where either or both of us don\'t mention multiple viewings. Com\' on now. But, I\'m sure Greg Daniels thanks you for doing such a great job running his fan club. What\'s the membership fee again?

matt, sometimes i think you put more effort and work into TWSS than the writers, actors, and producers and editors making The Office each week. My enjoyment of The Office on thursdays is equalled on mondays when i listen to your show. it sort of feels like i have two tiny friends inside my earbuds named matt and kevin and they talk to me when i get lonely. yes, i am that pathetic.

Chantelle - I wrote the comment about Pam taking all night to do the animation and then said that I while I actually have no idea how long it should take, it did put the idea in my head that Pam and computers don\'t always get along when it comes to her art. That was confirmed in Business Trip. I knew there\'d be someone who would call me on it.

Re: Pam\'s phone call to Jim and his being so awesomely supportive and stuff. I would like to lend my female brain/emotions to this situation and go out on a limb and say that Pam was probably feeling very depressed that she failed the class and just wanted an easy way out of the situation which would have been Jim saying, \"Come home, who cares about art school?\" Instead, he was so infuriatingly supportive and told her to stay put and fulfill her dream. Knowing she couldn\'t get upset with him because he was being pretty much perfect, she decided to end the call instead of risking getting angry with him. As the day wore on, she realized that what she wanted most of all was to go home. I think you hit it perfectly when you said that she missed Scranton. As for Jim\'s response: it was perfect and I loved it.

This podcast simply doesn\'t do the show justice. Mr. Summers obviously only watched the show once as there is so much going on, it takes multiple views to digest it all. Greg Daniels has made a modern comedy masterpiece and it shows that all his years at King of the Hill were completely wasted. You can argue about whether it\'s a true comedy, or cry about Pam being gone, but you can\'t deny the quality of the writing--Bravo, Greg. Bravo.

Hitch- If you listened to the podcast, you\'d know that both of us watch each episode at least three times before recording. As for your other points: -No one ever said The Office wasn\'t a comedy masterpiece (on the whole that is... there are both great, average and poor individual episodes). -King Of The Hill is a great show. -Greg Daniels has much less input on the show this season thanks to his work on the Amy Poehler spinoff. While he definitely is a guy with an impressive track record, he is not writing The Office by himself. -YES, you CAN argue with the quality of the writing on a line-by-line, episode-by-episode basis. Some episodes (and some writers) are better than others.

Another thought on Michael\'s comments to Wallace: Michael delivers the goods which is why I think they would put up with him so much. For crying out loud, they keep Dwight around. Also, I doubt there\'d be many candidates for Michael\'s job if he were to be removed. Also, I think that now that Michael has gotten that off his chest, he\'ll try to make amends with Wallace and it will all blow over. We know that Wallace is a good guy so I think he would cut Michael a little slack considering he delivered the sale, as long as he didn\'t do it again. Much like how Michael eventually handled Stanley\'s outburst in \"Did I Stutter\". At least Michael\'s outburst was only heard by Wallace and the audience. Just my thoughts. Haven\'t listened to the podcast yet but will later today but I think they continue to be entertaining and fun.

I\'d just like to make a comment about the whole \'Pam failing art school\' plot on the last episode. As a Flash Animator that has been in the profession for several years, I would firstly like to point out that Flash is an art program that lets you animate, draw and even create paintings via the program. Quark and Acrobat have NOTHING similar to do with Flash. Quark is a publishing program, while Acrobat allows you to create PSD\'s for HTML. If what Pam says is true about switching to these last two programs, then I can totally and honestly understand how and why she would be failing the class. You can\'t teach animation software, then suddenly switch over to something that has nothing to do with the other program. I know I would become incredibly confused and would probably fail such a class as well. And I will also say, I find graphic arts quite boring - and I would assume since Pam seems to be more into doodling/sketching and painting that she would also find graphic design boring and not for her. I would also like to address something that someone commented on in the post below about the episode. He mentioned that Pam took a whole night to finish that animation for the tv ad that Michael put together and that it should have been a clue that she was not good at art (since it took her so long). I have to completely disagree with this comment. An animation can take very little time, or literally days to finish a scene, depending on it\'s complexity. In this case, the animation that she did overnight was a very complex and hard animation - and the fact that she pulled it off in less then a day is quite a feat - especially since she hadn\'t had much formal training. I know it would take me that long, or longer - and I\'ve been working in animation for years! Sorry for my rant, but I just needed to get this out. Thanks. :)

No problem, and thanks! I just wanted to correct a little mistake I made above too (oops!). I mentioned that Acrobat allows you to create PSD\'s for HTML. I ment to say that it allows you to create \'PDF\'s\'. Guess I\'ve been spending too many hours in front of photoshop... :P

Kelly jo, that\'s a really good observation. Just like the Pam speech, it was a very unexpected view into Michael\'s soul. Almost like breaking character in the sense that both were very honest and straight forward (in Michael\'s case, not much was played for humor.) And most importantly, both were fairly heartbreaking.

Re: Michael\'s bold comments to David Wallace: Over the years, Michael has said and done so many things as a manager, that he would have been fired \"seasons\" ago in any normal office. His character would be emboldened to say such things given that he\'s never suffered the consequences (demotion or firing) from all the crazy things he\'s said and done to Jan (when she was his boss) and to David Wallace.
