Just as Pam's maternity leave ends, Dwight and Andy must select employees to accompany Dwight to Tallahassee after he is sent on an assignment. Directed by David Rogers, written by Amelie Gillette ___________________________ This is TWSS Kevin. Matt seems to be dodging my emails so I really have no idea if we'll return from hiatus. Blame the gradual decline in quality of The Office and good bit of Wisconsin politics. That said, I REALLY liked this episode, especially some of the continuing storylines with Val and Darryl, Erin, Dwight, and Angela. It made me forget, perhaps for the first time, that there used to be somebody called Michael Scott on the show. In any case, we'd love to hear your feedback.

I like Val. I hope they give her a real personality and build the character up. Unlike Kathy - they needed to give her some personality before the hitting on Jim ensues. Or maybe they're counting on no back story to show how inappropriate we all know she's going to be. Thanks for the update Kevin. I miss the podcast, hopefully this is not the end, just a small hiatus, because I'd love to hear your reactions to Pool Party. :)

Darryl and Val dont care. It seems like theyre trying to force a storyline with Darryl but havent come up with one that has any level of interest. Knit caps arent exactly what I think of when I think of a romantic gift and giving the gloves to first other person he saw (and a dude at that) was almost as dumb and cringe worthy as the previous weeks Footloose dancing. Andy is really terrible at delegating authority. He should have given guidelines on who Dwight could pick or asked him for a list of candidates that they would go through together so that they both had buy-in on the team. Im a bit surprised that Dwight would be able to take away nearly half the staff for three weeks. Loved Ryans presentation take one of us but not both. Loved the shout out to Burn Notice with all of the attention that premium cable gets, its nice to see some recognition for basic cable shows (besides FX and AMC). I wonder if Dwight learned anything from his orientation that a good leader is able to find and bring out the best in his team and build them up rather than order them around. Probably not but if Dwights getting his own spin-off, the writers may need to grow the character like the did Michael Scott over the years. Loved his martial arts routine when he learned he was put in charge. I dont think anything will happen with Jim and Karen other than (a) she makes a pass at him and he turns her down or she tries to kiss him and he hesitates before stopping and (b) Pam finds out and suspects the worse (particularly after Angelas criticism of her still carrying the baby weight). Eventually they reconcile and we have to go through an all-too predictable story arc.

Hey Kevin, I really hope you guys to continue the podcast, I wrote Matt about a month ago telling him how much I appreciate the time and effort that goes into the podcast, I sent it here and to his Facebook acct but never even got a reply. Hopefully things will settle down and it will resume. I know that a lot is going on in Wisconsin we are experiencing the same here in NY (I am also a teacher).

Hey! I hope you guys get things figured out. We miss you guys. I'm excited to hopefully see what happens with Erin. She needs to get over Andy, because let's face it, he needs to grow some fucking balls. This season we've seen a bit of growth for Erin, and hopefully we'll have a version of "Fancy new Erin" where she too will gain self confidence, and will not allow herself to be pushed around. The plot line with Kathy, while interesting, will ultimately go no where. We all know how it's going to end. She's going to hit on Jim, and he will fend off her advances, and stay faithful to Pam.
