I've been toying with this for a while, since I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, but what the hell.
I set up a storefront for TWSS at the cafepress.com website. For those of you who don't know, cafepress is an online "boutique" shop where people can create their own t-shirts/mugs/hats/etc. using their own images. Normally, if you want to make a profit, you can mark the prices up HIGHER than the base price... but since the base prices are so high, I am offering these products to listeners of the podcast AT COST. I repeat-- if you order one of these shirts, neither Ian nor I will be making a penny. check it out, if you so desire: http://www.cafepress.com/twsspodcast Be the first on your block to show your support for TWSS :)

The other big piece of news from this past week has been the big syndication deal NBC has brokered for reruns of THE OFFICE. This has been pretty much all over the place, but I'll stick with the home-team and quote this article from the SCRANTON TIMES-TRIBUNE: ---------- On Thursday, NBC Universal’s syndication worked out a deal to sell the rerun rights to the Scranton-set comedy to comedy-focused cable station TBS, as well as 10 big-market Fox stations, in a deal worth more than $130 million. TBS also picked up the rights to “The Office’s? Thursday night schedule mate, “My Name is Earl.? Reruns for the show’s first three seasons will begin airing on TBS and the 10 Fox affiliates this fall. TBS will pay about $650,000 per “Office? episode, while the 10 Fox stations, which does not include the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market, will collectively pay $300,000, according to Daily Variety. The deal is unusual in that “The Office? is about two seasons away from the normal syndication period. In recent years, TBS has devoted most of its programming to comedy, with a powerhouse lineup of sitcom greats that includes “Seinfeld,? “Friends,? “Everybody Loves Raymond? and “Sex and the City.? ---------- Not too shabby.

According to Hollywood.com, our pal John Krasinski is in the running to replace Chevy Chase in a new film in the "Fletch" franchise. To quote the article: ---------- HOLLYWOOD - The Office star John Krasinski is the hot favorite to play Irwin 'Fletch' Fletcher in a new adaptation of Gregory McDonald's series of novels. A number of actors have been considered as successors to Chevy Chase--who played Fletch in three 1980s films--including Jason Lee, Ryan Reynolds and most recently Joshua Jackson. But Krasinski admits he is in the running for the role. He tells MTV News, "My name was tossed around a little bit for the role, and it's something that (I might consider). "I have no idea (if they'll cast me). I've been shooting a movie down in North Carolina, so I've kind of lost touch with who (else) is in the running. "I read the script, and it is hilarious. It's just one of those things that is so terrifying, to step up and be in a role that was done so perfectly. "I mean, Chevy Chase not only created that role, but he did it pretty damn well. So (playing that character) is a scary situation. I don't know what's going on with it right now, but I am sure whoever does it will be fantastic. You just have to have some guts to do that." COPYRIGHT 2007 WORLD ENTERTAINMENT NEWS NETWORK LTD. All Global Rights Reserved. ---------- I don't know if JK can measure up to the genius that is "Chevy," but this certainly can't be worse than "LICENSE TO WED" (I'm sorry... I know I should try and be positive... but... man, is THAT movie going to suck).

TVShowsOnDVD.com has come up with some information about the Season Three DVD release. First, the set will retail for $49.99, and will be available on SEPTEMBER 4th.
They also have a big list of extras: Disc 1 (2 Hours 40 Minutes)
Sounds pretty good to me, although it's being released a lot later than last year's set. I guess it makes sense to release the set as close to the Season Four premier as possible, but I'll be back to work by then with less time to revel in the glory.

Hey everyone--
Sorry for being 'incommunicado' these past two weeks. I've been going through some big health issues for the last 10 days, and I'm slowly starting to recover (long story short, I had severe abdominal pain after eating and have gone to many doctors appointments, tests, etc., with more to come). I also still have one more week of graduate credit classes coming up from June 25-29, but I will be talking to Ian soon about recording the first Season One "Retro" episode. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
