An awful episode to be sure. It was a failure on every level. The characters acted against their normal type, the jokes were recycled or just unfunny. It felt like this script was written for another show, but they crammed the Office characters into it. The "Michael finds God" plot was a genius idea that was executed terribly. It had such good potential to show him getting excited, finding purpose & meaning. Instead, he goes overboard & freaks out, sort of. Uggh. If this is a sign of the future of the show, let's just end this thing after Carrell leaves.

I'm the first to defend an episode that most don't like, but I'm finding it hard to so after this week. Okay, we get it. Michael is lonely. He wants marriage, a family and everything included. Every week does not have to revolve around that theme. Michael hopping on the bus and quickly backing out was predictable, and seems kind of stale. I think there were so excellent awkward and funny scenes, which if why I love The Office. Jim blaming Angela for trying to sneak off with the baby, Angela scamming all the scones made me laugh out loud...But the whole anger issue over lack of food at the party just made me want to fire 75% of the branch on the spot. Still, I'm really high on this season, especially Costume Contest, and I just chalk it up to a sub-par episode, which every show has. No big deal. Keep up the supber work gentlemen. Spending hours on end and receiving little to no compensation sucks mightily. I no it's a small consolation, but color me satisfied every single week. I love this podcast.

Word episode ever? No. Worst of the season? Definitely. On the other hand, I do think that this episode should put to rest the question of Apple paying for product placement. Why on Earth would they pay for their product to be in the hands of someone who so consistently uses it to make himself into a raving douchebag?

This episode was TERRIBLE. It topped "The Sting" as worst episode of the season. 1. The entire office would never go the christening. Maybe the wedding, but not the christening. 2. If the entire office did attend, why the hell would the documentary crew join them? There is no reason they would need to work on a Sunday to film that. 3. The Michael and Andy are going to Mexico, again, WHY would the DOCUMENTARY CREW follow them onto the bus and stay until they got off!? Finally, what the hell was with that ending? There are so many things wrong with this episode.

I liked the Christening. It was a nice change from the regular hum-drum of the Office, but definitely illustrated some of the issues you run into when you invite people from the office to your social gatherings. I'm assuming Jim & Pam invited only Michael and Michael invited the rest of the office. Their reactions to the lack of food and length of the service are true to life. I've seen my own officemates kevetch about such things at funeral services and weddings, etc. I laughed at the minister inviting everyone in the parish to the Halbert's lunch (it totally happens!) and I laughed at Carla (who is an absolutely perfect caricature of a church youth minister). I found it believable that Michael would get swept up in the familial quality of a church (especially in consideration of his own jaded family past). I had only 2 problems with the episode. Problem 1: Jim thinking Angela stole/kidnapped Cici. This moment was saved by Kevin discovering the scones, but it was still embarrassing and stupid. As if Angela would steal a baby and be able to get away with it?! Problem 2: Jim & Pam asking Seth & his wife to be the godparents... people they met at mommy & me class? Really??? You've known these people for, what? 6-8 months? And you want them to be godparents to your child? It was clearly a plot device to have Seth indicate that a "little blonde woman" stole Cici-- but the choosing "new" friends as godparents is so damn unrealistic I was pissed right off the bat. Isabelle would've been a better choice.

That was awful! What were the writers thinking putting this nonsense on the air? Michael was annoying from beginning to end, and Pam and Jim, who usually have amusing story lines, ended up acting completely out of character. Not to mention the fact that the entire premise was totally bizarre. So many things in this episode made no sense, which made me wonder if the writers had forgotten everything about the characters and their history on the show. Indeed; this was the Phyllis' Wedding of season 7, so one can only hope it'll get better from here.

Wow, Everyone seems to hate this episode. Well, add me to the list, I hated it too. I might put it close to the top of my least liked episodes, just so unfunny. For one thing, The Christening was ridiculous; I find it hard to believe There would be that many ignorant people there. We've all been to these things: Christenings, showers, baptisms, have you ever heard anyone be that forward and nasty about not having enough food? It's just not believable. I also can't figure out why all the employees would go, it doesn't make any sense. Daryl? why would he go? just because he's upstairs now? So dumb. And why make the christians leaving for Mexico so goofy and Golly gee happy? just bad writing. The only High point was Toby's reluctance to enter the church. I think it has more to do with guilt, rather than him thinking God is mean to him. Perhaps Strangling people is weighing on his conscience? Other than this episode, I really have enjoyed this season. Hope for a better effort next week!

I originally started watching and fell in love with The Office during 2nd season. At that time, I thought it was a great innovative comedy that avoided all the sitcom cliches. The documentary-approach seemed to ground the show with realistic work-place situations and somewhat believable characters. For a little while, it looked like this season would return somewhat to its roots. Well, this episode tossed all of that out of the window. Aside from the cold-open, this episode did not take place at all in the office. Just why would everyone from the office (along with the documentary crew) be at CeCe's christening?? A minor misunderstanding turns into epic-scale chaos?? All of the characters were annoying caricatures and not at all believable. Even Jim, the down-to-earth lovable character you rooted for at the beginning of the series has turned into a bumbling incompetent father. You know that it's a bad episode when the best part is a Toby-centered Z-plot. The only thing this episode was missing was a laugh track.

Really really weird episode, possibly the worst of all time. At least we knew the banker was going to be bad. Weirdest things for me: erins cd in the car, jim accusing Angela, the fact that Angela would steal scones? Why was everyone at the reception all dicks? I want an office office episode, not one set elsewhere. For this reason I'm not really looking forward to the viewing party episode.

Wow I really hated this episode. I'm never a fan of the ones that brings everyone else out of the office, and the gag that Jim and pam had no idea the rest of the office would come is getting old. The Mexico plot-line wasn't really funny at all, and very predictable about how it would end. Tobys strange plot line had no end to it. The only good think i think was dwight. I hope for a better one next week

I guess I'm in the minority this season because I have enjoyed every episode. Yes. Some have been better than others, but I'm satisfied with this season so far. Tonight's episode was good for the most part. I liked Michael's storyline. The christening was fine. The only problem I had tonight was with Jim. I'm starting to take issue with John Krasinski's acting. Maybe the writers are giving him wack lines to deliver.

Quite possible one the most boring & pointless episodes ever.I mean how big of a deal is it that Jim & Pam's baby gets Christened? This is some thing I would expect from Angela & Dwight. The only funny part was with Toby & his nervousness to enter the church

This was just a horible episode. After Michael and Andy running off to Mexico the rest of the episode became so predictable. Ryan seemed like he was 12 the whole time and I was just realy disapointed to see meemaw back. Also, poop jokes. POOP JOKES! That is were they have sunk to. This episode was just horrible
